In a remote village surrounded by dense forests and ancient temples, a group of Pokémon-worshipping cultists had existed in secret for generations. Known as the Arceus Devotees, they fervently believed in the divinity of this legendary Pokémon and performed rituals to honor it.

One day, a young Pokémon trainer named Lucas came to the village in search of adventure. Fascinated by the stories of the Arceus Devotees, he decided to explore the mysteries surrounding this cult. He soon discovered that the Arceus Devotees were performing a secret ritual to awaken a powerful legendary Pokémon that lay dormant deep within the forest.

Intrigued and concerned about the consequences of this act, Lucas decided to infiltrate the cult to stop the ritual. With the help of his faithful Pokémon, he made his way through the challenges and traps left by the Devotees of Arceus, facing his followers and their Pokémon in epic battles.

But, unbeknownst to him, the young trainer would be seduced by one of the daughters of the leader of the Arceus cult, who convinced him to flee from that place. She stopped the dangerous ritual and left her home region to head to the Sinnoh region. Years after fleeing, she gave birth to a child named Akira, who, inevitably, due to his ancestry, would be connected to a dark being in his shadow.
