Misty and May Join Forces!

After talking with Tiffany, they learned that she and her great-grandmother had been protecting Dragonair Lake from their cabin for generations. The legend of Dragonair began when it appeared to protect Water-type Pokémon, which spread quickly among people.

Then a company called Saridakis Industries attempted to buy their lakeside shop, which they refused. Afterward, strange things began happening, and a Crawdaunt suddenly appeared a year ago, driving other Water-type Pokémon away.

"Miss Tiffany, don't worry. Crawdaunt has been defeated, so things should be fine now," Brock reassured her with his usual caring demeanor.

"But wait, it's not over yet. That Crawdaunt has a Trainer—anyone can tell from the way it battled Corphish just now," Brock observed.

"A Trainer? Could it be that the owner of Saridakis Industries sent Crawdaunt to cause trouble?" Tiffany and her great-grandmother, Galea guessed.

Just then, an old bald man arrived.

"So, Crawdaunt lost. No wonder—you found someone to help you," he sneered.

Tiffany instantly recognized him, confirming her suspicion that the Crawdaunt belonged to him.

"You're despicable!" Misty and May looked at the man angrily.

The man laughed. "Back when I was a kid, I nearly drowned when my boat capsized here. I somehow survived, but that day, I vowed to level this lake and turn it into a Recreational park. That's my goal! I'm not afraid of your helpers because I have backup too!"

And right next to him stood Team Rocket's Jessie, James, and Meowth, exchanging knowing glances.

"Is the twerp here for this lake, too?"

"Doesn't matter. Now we can catch them all in one go!"

"Exactly, we'll catch Pikachu too!" Meowth exclaimed.

James was about to start his speech, but Ash cut him off, shaking his head.

"Team Rocket, you just don't know when to quit, do you?"

"Huh? We haven't even done anything yet, and we're exposed?" Meowth panicked.

"Fine, if that's the case, let's just take it by force!"

Team Rocket abandoned their disguises.

"Wait, Jessie! It's been ages since we did our entrance motto. Don't you think we should…?" James protested, only to be dragged away by Jessie as they ran to a hidden giant robot nearby.

Using the robot's first move, Team Rocket's claw grabbed Crawdaunt, intending to capture Pikachu next, but Ash and Pikachu dodged it effortlessly.

"Pika!" Pikachu was ready to attack, but Ash stopped him.

"Misty, May, this one's all yours. You two can take down Team Rocket's robot," Ash said.

Misty and May exchanged a determined look and nodded.

"Starmie, it's up to you!" Misty called.

"Go, Munchlax!" May sent out her Pokémon.

"Starmie, use Hyper Beam!"

"Munchlax, use Solar Beam!"

Both girls had their Pokémon unleash powerful attacks. Ash silently hoped Team Rocket would somehow survive.

In the end, Team Rocket's robot was defeated. The explosion also hit Crawdaunt, knocking it out and causing it to fall into the lake. The old man, unable to swim, was thrown into the lake as well and quickly began to sink.

Tiffany's great-grandmother, Galea dove into the water to help, stopping Misty and May from sending their own Pokémon.

"My great-grandmother is an excellent swimmer. She'll be fine."

Soon, Galea resurfaced with the old man, and to everyone's surprise, a Dragonair surfaced alongside them.

"There really is a Dragonair here! This truly is Dragonair Lake!"

"Pika!"

"Yes, Dragonair has always protected this lake, treating all the Water-type Pokémon here as its children," explained Tiffany's great-grandmother as she rested.

The old man finally realized something. "So it was you… That familiar presence… You're the one who saved me back then."

The old man, who had once vowed to destroy the lake, now understood that Dragonair and Galea had saved his life when he was a child.
