Synopsis

While others were still diligently studying Pokémon knowledge, Ron had already begun training his Pokémon to grow. While others were training their Pokémon, Ron had already started teaching his Pokémon the Six Powers. While others were still challenging Gym Leaders and collecting badges to prepare for tournaments, Ron had already started competing with the older generation of trainers. Moving between the light and dark sides, the only things Ron could rely on were his infinitely versatile Pokémon, the Six Powers in his mind, and a mysterious power—one whose origins were uncertain, whether it came from a past life or was a built-in cheat of his own making. ------------------------ If you want to support me and read advance chapters, please visit: PATREON.COM/MADBOT635

Chapter 1Chapter 1: The Beginning of Training

The dimly lit cave echoed faintly as Ron strained to open his eyes, every cell in his body screaming in protest from the pain.

For most people, this kind of agony—like their body had been shattered—would have driven them to cry out. But for Ron, it was tolerable. As an extreme sports enthusiast, he had long lost count of how many times he'd been injured.

Staring blankly ahead, Ron was preoccupied with organizing a sudden influx of foreign memories into his mind.

The first image was vivid: a memory of himself failing during one of his extreme challenges, the moment of death etched sharply in his mind.

Then, without warning, unfamiliar memories surged in.

They belonged to a 14-year-old boy, also named Ron, with a clichéd backstory—an orphan, often bullied and living a life of constant humiliation.

But even the meekest person can snap. One day, the boy had grabbed a knife—sharpened meticulously over who knows how long—and ended the lives of those who had tormented him the most.

After the murders, the boy had joined Team Rocket, passed their selection process, been assigned a Pokémon, and sent to a remote region to undergo a trial.

Tragically, just as the boy was ready to prove himself, a bolt of lightning struck and ended his life.

At this point in the memories, Ron felt his mind spinning.

From these scenes, he had realized something startling: he had transmigrated into the Pokémon world.

This revelation hit him like a ton of bricks.

"Seriously? Ash gets electrocuted how many times and walks it off? And I take one hit and that's it? Is this the difference between a protagonist and a nobody? Terrifying!"

Understanding his circumstances, Ron shifted his attention to the Machop that had been silently watching him since he awoke.

This Machop had carried him—just struck by lightning—into the cave.

In his previous life, aside from extreme sports, Ron's favorite pastime was watching anime, Pokémon included. His curiosity had driven him to study the mechanics of the Pokémon world and even imagine how he would train each Pokémon if given the chance.

He had also attempted to replicate the Six Powers from One Piece—those legendary combat techniques said to be attainable only by superhumans. Every attempt had ended in failure, but his love for pushing limits had kept him trying.

With a smile, Ron extended his hand to Machop.

"My name's Ron. From now on, we're partners. Let's work together."

Machop regarded the human before him with growing intrigue.

Before the lightning strike, this human had felt like someone masking desperation with madness. Now, though, he exuded confidence—a quiet belief that everything was under control.

For a Pokémon driven by a desire to grow stronger, the second version of Ron was far more appealing.

Their hands clasped tightly—one large, one small, both still damp with rainwater. Little did anyone know, this humble cave would give rise to a trainer and his ace Pokémon who would someday evoke fear at the mere mention of their names.

"Machop, show me the moves you know," Ron said, leaning back against the cave wall. The searing pain in his body was gradually fading, and he intended to use the time to assess Machop's capabilities.

From the inherited memories, Ron had learned the purpose of this trial: to identify suitable recruits for Team Rocket.

Unlike the Pokémon League's gentler methods, Team Rocket's selection process was brutal.

For Ron's group, each participant had been provided with two days' worth of food, three Poké Balls, and tasked with surviving a full month. At the end, the survivors would battle, and the losers would face immediate elimination.

Elimination meant death.

What made this trial even more daunting was that none of the participants—Ron's predecessor included—had formal knowledge of Pokémon training. They could only rely on instinct and their bond with their Pokémon.

Ron felt a twinge of gratitude toward the previous Ron, who had managed to build a rapport with Machop. Many participants had died at the hands of the very Pokémon assigned to them by Team Rocket.

Getting a Pokémon to obey through sheer human will was no easy feat.

Upon receiving the command, Machop began demonstrating his moves.

To ensure fairness, Team Rocket had provided Pokémon with levels averaging around 10. Ron's Machop was no exception.

Machop's current moves were Leer, Focus Energy, Karate Chop, and Foresight.

But every Pokémon also inherits moves from its parents, and stronger Pokémon pass down more powerful moves.

Ron's Machop had inherited Meditate, Encore, Counter, and even Close Combat.

Judging by its moveset alone, Machop already possessed significant potential. With effort to raise its level, passing the trial wouldn't be too difficult.

But Ron wasn't aiming for mere survival—he wanted first place.

The brutality of the trial was balanced by its rewards.

Team Rocket, under Giovanni's leadership, spared no expense in nurturing its elites. At least, that's what Ron surmised based on his memories.

As for whether Ash—the so-called chosen one—had started his journey yet, Ron had no idea.

After showcasing its moves, Machop stood firm despite its labored breathing, awaiting Ron's next command.

For some reason, since the lightning strike, Ron seemed to radiate an inexplicable allure, compelling Machop to follow his lead.

Ron staggered to his feet, feeling a strange energy coursing through his body. It was this energy that had allowed him to recover so quickly.

Years of consuming all kinds of media had taught Ron one thing: this must be his cheat code. But it felt oddly underwhelming. Was he supposed to fight Pokémon himself? Even mastering the Six Powers wouldn't guarantee survival against them!

Then, a sudden realization hit him, and his gaze turned fiery as he looked at Machop.

Machop flinched, sensing something unsettling in Ron's expression. The last time Machop had seen such a look, it had been between two Pokémon during mating season.

But this was different. They were both male, after all!

Just as Machop was about to toss Ron out of the cave to cool off, the rain outside stopped. A ray of sunlight pierced through the clouds, forming a rainbow over the forest.

Entranced by the scene, Machop didn't notice Ron stepping closer. Suddenly, Ron gripped Machop's shoulders with both hands, sending a chill down the Pokémon's spine.
