8 - Cured

Within the room as the elders argue outside, Yo Huiyin sighed in annoyance.

She was knowledgeable in terms of poison or anything that has to do with science and anatomy but she has never exactly treated anyone before considering she didn't had documents that proves she had experience, It was after all against the law to cure without permit, If everything were to fail back then she would have been locked in jail for 8 years maximum, It was the worst case scenario, the minimum was a year in prison and a fine, she needed to focus in silence, if she were to make a mistake because of the tiniest sounds it would have been horrible for her.

She only agreed and said she could cure the young man out of curiosity of this 'thousand year venom leaf' that was said to poison their young master.

Now she has examined the body of the young master she sighed, it is quite a unique plant to be able to damage a persons brain by leaving it's tiny fur like spikes with poison on its victims body, but this only sparked her interest, on the way to the medical pavilion they told her of what the plants feature was like, It wasn't an ordinary plant, It was alive, They said it was like an ordinary flower at first glance, But the flower wasn't the main concern, It was the leaves that surround the flower like bodyguards protecting a queen.

Once you get near the plant, the leaves will flung up like a dagger digging itself to their victim and eject their venom.

The plants name wasn't because of this live leaves, it was the flower, it was said that if the flower were to be consumed once life will be extended for a thousand years. This caused a lot of herbalist and physician to seek out this plant, But nothing goes free, the plant knew self defence.

Yo Huiyin shook her head, If a plant like the 'thousand year venom leaf' existed within her time period the world would have been flipped, The greediness from the time period she now resides in is not worst than the 21st.

Slowly Yo Huiyin fed the unconscious man the Dan Shen (Salvia miltiorrhiza) or red sage that she asked for to the man, It was crushed to bits and was added to water for the man to easily swallow. She began sterilizing the needles by placing them on the provided candle, her eyes filled with seriousness as she began pushing needles to the mans pale white skin.

After the last ucupuncture point the man began coughing blood, Yo Huiyins serious face became more serious. The poison was slowly leaving the mans body but for some reason, Like ot has a mind of it's own the poison was fighting back the herb she fed him.

Minutes have gone by, the man stopped coughing blood, Yo Huiyin took the cup of water by the bedside table and watched as the mans eyes opened. His weak body looked around, when his eyes met with the young girls he sat up slowly eyes wide in shock.

She really wanted to ask the man if he was feeling better but she couldn't remembering the bitter fact she had no voice, She still has to wait till everything with the medical pavilion was finished before she herself began curing herself. It wasn't that on the 21st century there wasn't a cure.. it was still a work in progress cure to be exact, the organization She worked for before had  been working on a special way to cure the loss of voice but it had a huge consequences and has a time limit, that's why they called it 'Work In progress'

The man suddenly engulfed her into a tight embrace.

Shock was evident in her captivating green eyes, Within her memory she had no encounter with the young master of the Medical pavilion yet this man embraced her like he was her lover that she hasn't seen in years. Fortunately that was not the case

"Ye'er! Ye'er your alive!" The man tightened his hold

'Ye'er?... must be his lover... the poison must have damaged his brain more than I thought causing him to hallucinate..." tsk-ing in her mind she tried to break the mans embrace but to no avail the man just tightened

They stayed like that for a moment until the man finally let go of the embrace, but not her, He still held her close looking to her eyes intently with eyes filled with mixed emotions, Love, Guilt, Joy, and much more. She again tried breaking the mans hold when the sliding doors opened wide revealing an elderly man pushing his way in, Behind him was his fellow elders and some disciples.

She tried once again with her weak frail hands to push the man away, She stopped, sensing weird energy coming from the direction of the door her head snapped, She can sense two auras that appeared to be alluring her.

Two figures descended from 'god-knows-where' appeared before her eyes, A man and a women with straight faces and extraordinary auras, they would have been mistaken as noble heirs of a wealthy family if it weren't for the woman's long sharp nails and the mans cayote ears.

Others would have thought that the two familiars were to kill the woman before them but to their shock the two strong familiars did not only kneel before her, but they also called her empress!
