outside the mayor's manor gathered all the curious citizens, travelling merchants, nobles while not so far away was an army of running soldiers with spears, sheilds, swords and a red banner in hand

alrhough they've just entered the front courtyard blood and the nauseous smell of corpse entered their nose, the leader of the men shouted commands, he looked at the corpse below his feet with a frown, it suddenly downed to him... "Quickly check on the mayor!" as soon as the command reached everyones ears they immediately went to the mayors room

with no signes of the old man they suddenly feel panicked, They rushed out and checked every room within the manor

as they get closer to the receiving hall, the stench of blood and a heavy load of corpse on their path made them more and more nervous.

how and who would have the ability to massacre such a large amount of people without them knowing? they didn't see any soldiers came in or out the city neither have they heard any gossips about it at all yet... someone or something was able to do it all cleany.

as soon as they stepped in the receiving hall they were met with a frightened girl which they quickly recognized as Yi Zhen, The mayors daughter, plopped on the corner staring blankly at a badly beaten corpse infront of her, streams of tears unstoppably flowing one of them approached her "Young miss! what happened here? who did this? where's the mayor?" he suddenly bombarded her with questions

but the next words she quietly uttered made all the men in the room froze "father.... dead... Demon... king..."

all of them stared at the badly disfigured corpse, it was the old man they were looking for! dead! and the one who did it.. was the man who they were hiding from! the man that made them all feel fear! he found them!

"miss! we must leave! he found our city again! we must leave!" the soldier began pulling at the young girls arm forgetting about how man and woman should distance themselves, But instead of doing as the man said she looked at him with tearful bloodshot eyes

"He's still here..." as soon as her words fell into their ears, the whole recieving hall bursted in flames

only the sound of agonized screams can be heard from outside the manor
