Lena's Intuition

               ****************************************

Now the kids have gone their separate ways with Stephan and Lena going into the bigger tunnel.

"Y'know i think we are going to find something more crazy in here",Stephan whispered to Lena

"Oh yeah? Why do you say so?"

"Look at it, our tunnel is bigger so whoever is doing this to us knows we were gonna split up and now we are gonna face a bigger challenge because we're two people going in"

Lena chuckled at Stephan's analysis but some part of her was thinking the same thing.

"You think I'm crazy and uncool, i bet you wish it was Derek here right now"

Lena came to a gradual stop, she turned and looked at Stephan

"I don't think you're crazy, sure Derek is braver than you but you have some qualities he doesn't really have" "I don't wish Derek was here, infact i don't wish anyone of us were in this mess, whatever we are gonna face here we face it together okay?"

With obvious expression of relief Stephan nodded in agreement with Lena.

To Stephan, Lena's words meant alot, he has had a crush on her since the start of middle school, he thought she was smart, caring and loving and he wished with all his heart that they all come out of this nightmare in one piece. He promised in his heart to protect her, but this also meant he mustn't waver in the face of any danger.

After walking a few distance, both of them came to a sudden stop at the sound of a growl that echo through the tunnel. They both assumed a stealth and alert stance as they slowly approached with the sound getting louder, Stephan could be seen gripping the knife he was handed by Derek and Lena moving gently behind him.

Finally getting to where the sound was coming from which looked like the room they initially came from, Stephan and Lena hid by the wall of the tunnel with the attempt to peep in the room and see what was going on. Stephan leaned in and had a look which he immediately withdrew turning to face Lena with a shocked expression on his face. Lena was curious, she swapped positions with Stephan going in front to also have a look.

To her surprise she could see different creatures...scary creatures, creatures that she never believed existed, she was mind-blown but in a bad way. There was no way they have come to the right place, they was noway there was gonna be a way through he--or wait a minute... there might be a way through, there just might be.

Lena was navigating through the room, looking for either a way out or any amulet or both, then she saw a light reflection, it was distant but she has to check it out, she had to at least see the source of this light it might be their only way, because going back wasn't much of an option to them. But what about Derek? What if they find a way out would they have to leave him?

"Lena" a low voice called behind her, she turned slightly to Stephan.

"Did you find anything that can help?"

Lena still didn't reply. She had been looking into the room for a while now and Stephan knew that Lena has a knack for finding solutions he knew she must have figured out something but he hoped it wasn't crazy.

"Stephan I'm gonna do something right now but i would like you to stay here"

"Oh no, she's gonna do something crazy".Stephan thought

Before he could object to her suggestion Lena ran into the room quietly, taking cover behind a box. Stephan felt his heart jump forward like it was going to burst out of his chest. What is Lena doing!!!

She still couldn't get the view she wanted, she could see another box but she would have to run straight through the right-end of the room, and avoid being noticed by the two man-beast that can be seen eating while backing her in the center of the room.

She was ready, she took a bending position like that of a professional runner, bouncing on her toes like she was about to hit the gas. In 5...4...3...2...1 she ran past them unnoticed and reached the box and hid once more. She could breathe a sigh of relief so as Stephan. She raised her head, on top of the box was a glass lantern which was dangling and about to fall, apparently she had hit it when trying to take cover. She couldn't save the lantern from falling, she could only sit back in her cover, blocking her ears as the glass lantern made a crashing sound to the floor.
