In the beginning, the Caretaker was an attentive Father. His Watchers were happy to kneel only to him and He spent His time equally between them and tending the creation of the Corvid Prince. Then the Corvid Prince left Him to tend Earth alone while he left to work on other planets.
The Caretaker became obsessed.
The youngest of the Watchers was spoiled before and didn't take the loss of attention well. He was consumed by loneliness until much in the same way the angels were born, that loneliness was given life by the divine energy rich environment in which they lived.
She bore an uncanny resemblance to the Seraphim of his Father who sang songs of creation and power and had divine fire running through their veins.
The Caretaker loathed the reflection of loneliness but He couldn't raise a hand against her because the Corvid Prince looked upon her with great love.
The Corvid Prince named her Azrael.
He granted her power beyond what she was born with.
But even with all that power, she chose to stay with Lucifer among the Chroniclers who recorded all life that was, is, or ever would be.
He thought they were happy there.
