On getting to the address Xiao sent him, John took a deep breath before ringing the bell. He knew from that moment henceforth, his life will not be the same but he is willing to make as many sacrifices as possible. Xiao was the one that came to open the door, as he saw her, his mouth fell.

After returning to Shanghai, John pulled all the necessary strings and helped Xiao get back to the modelling world. She started modelling in foreign countries since she has been blacklisted in the country, the manager John got for her advised this. He suggested if she makes a good name for herself outside the country, some company will be willing to work with her regardless of her history. This turned out to be true because in a short span of time, she was able to start modelling in the country, even though she had to manage small jobs, it was better than she expected. Xiao has always been a good model, one of the reasons she attained fame from a young age. However, this made her very busy and lack the time to take care of Zheng.

John ordinarily was a busy man, apart from his acting career, he owns an entertainment agency. He is always traveling from one place to another, with both parents always away, Zheng cultivated some bad habits which was brought to the parent's attention by the school. John tired to persuade Xiao to reduce her work so that she will find time for their child, she blatantly told him she has sacrificed 6 years of her life and career to take care of the child, it is his turn to make such sacrifice. John knew there was no point in trying to convince her. So he made necessary arrangements and moved to Beijing, the city where his assistant told him Tang lives.
