He looked at him, expressionless and speechless, 'Why the fuck does this guy showed up in front of my eyes, I was hoping it would be a pretty elf girl. Truly disappointed with the outcome of this!'
Halius looked at him straight into the eyes, his eyebrows for some reason are furrowed, "Hey dude, hear me out, I found my fathers remain, apparently, some elf saw him suffering near the lake and took him here, he died not long after"
Abel quickly shook his head, abandoning all the thought he would have about the pretty elf and Halius continued his words, "Sadly, my mother told me that she will leave the house and there's no one to take care of the house except, so I might not accompany you in the adventure"
The boy was shocked when he heard the words of his best friend, the boy sighed and suddenly placed his hand on the shoulder of his friend. He shook his head and sighed once again, "Dude, I know that sooner or later this would happen, but the choice is in your part, I can't and won't do nothing if you really wish to return to the city"
The boy smiled at his friend before slowly releasing his hand and went away from that location, leaving Halius alone to think about it. Abel then returned to the place where the feast took place. He didn't know what to do next.
Suddenly, a group of pretty young girl elves approached him from the front of his eyes. He smiled slightly when he saw this. The group are kind of avoiding eye contact when they are right in front of the boy. This made him raising one of his eyebrows still with that smile stuck on his face, 'What do these girls want? I hope it would be something good!"
When he was done with the thought, one of the elves extended her arm, the boy looked at it and noticed the small wooden circle with a carving on it. He was confused, not knowing what to do, then he heard the voice of the girl, "P-ple-please sir, ta-take this, thi-this is a pendant from me"
Now the boy totally understood what the meanings of it, he politely accepted the pendant and placed it inside his pocket. The boy then placed his focus on another place when he raised his head. He was expecting to see the pretty face of the elf that gave him the pendant but it was facing the ground and he was not able to see it. All he could see is the yellow colour of her hair.
All the other elves of the group also gave him each of their own pendants, with different carving on each one. He smiled at them and placed it all inside his pocket. The group went away right after they gave Abel the pendants.
All the boy did is just smile and went on his business, getting some food and drink which the elves have prepared for the boy and themselves. Everywhere could be seen elves talking to each other while enjoying their foods and drinks gracefully.
…
Tomorrow, the day came the day where the soldiers and warriors from the elves are going to march from the land of the elves toward the northern mountain. They lined up on the small clearing, in front of them all, the boy, Abel stood on a tall rock.
He looked around and examined the elves, already in their armour, swords in the scabbard, spears and bows on their hands. He then gave them a speech, "I have nothing to say to you all, you may don't have any desire to fight our common enemies. But I expect it to be done by the time this conflict end, for the peace we all desire!"
The simple speech from the boy made the elves cheered on him, praising and saying the good thing about the boys, "He is so smart and brave even at the age that young!"
"Yea! I bet we would have an easy victory over the orcs!"
"Well, whatever we do, just trust him"
"Correct"
The boy smiled when he heard of all the good things being said about him. But was soon interrupted by the grand elder that approached him from his left side with something on his hand, "Sir, this is your bag, we haven't found the way to open the bag, but we all knew it must've been the bag of someone important in the orc's army"
[Items acquired, Magic bag of orc's commander]
The boy raised one of his eyebrows when he saw the normal small, brown-coloured bag being presented in front of his eyes. He smiled at the grand elder and then took the bag from his hand, 'Examine!'
[Magic bag of orc's commander]
[Capacity 100]
The boy raised one of his eyebrows once again when he saw the effect of the bag, 'Wait, isn't the inventory like unlimited or something? Why is there a bag like this then increases the capacity of inventory?'
The boy was interrupted by the grand elder while he was directing his index finger toward the inventory button, "Sir, there's another news, your friend, Halius, have decided to not participate against the orcs, he said he has some matters to attend to and have returned to the city"
He stopped his finger and sighed, 'Well, Halius, looks like you have made up your mind, take care of the city and hope the best for me. The battle waiting for me is going to be hard'
…
3 hours later, he found himself marching in front of the long line of elves on his horse provided by the elders. The grand elder riding right beside him, he is the only one of all the elders of the elves that followed Abel to the battle.
Soon, the grassland which they were marching on slowly turned to the land covered by the snows and extremely cold weather. Fortunately, a long protective barrier formed by the grand elder protected the marching elves.
Even when there's a barrier protecting them from the cold as much as it could, the elves felt the cold striking their body as they marched deeper and deeper toward the northern mountain. It all got really bad when a messenger ran to the boy and gave the news of one of the elves actually fainted.
The boy made his decision and raised his hand to the air. The march stopped, and the boy dismounted from his horse. He said to the messenger, "Take this horse, and return to base with the elf that fainted"
He hesitated when he heard this, but the serious, furrowed expression made the messenger to do as the boy wished. He took the horse and soon are gone from the boy's sigh, the rest continued toward the north.
3 hours later, the coldness suddenly was gone from their surroundings. The land which they walked on currently has no snow covering it. Everyone was confused when they saw this, but kept ongoing.
It's really suspicious that the coldness is gone in such northern part of the world, Abel started having thoughts, 'What made the coldness went away? Or is it a fire spirit? Or the god has given us their blessings…"
It all makes sense when he saw it, a big mountain with lava's coming out from its summit, slowly running down toward the foot of the mountain. What startled him, even more, is the sight of some sort of civilization living so close to the lava at the foot of the mountain.
He shouted at all the elves that are now sleepy from all the marching, "Soldiers! Look! We are near our destination! Prepare for battle, the land of the orcs is upon our eyes!"
All of them were startled when he heard the scream of their commander. They unsheathed their weapon and prepared the arrows. Now filled with battle spirit, the elves marched toward what the boy said to be the land of the orcs.
Abel was not wrong. Once the elves were close enough, they saw the orcs coming out of their camp while equipped with simple weapons and armour. The boy shouted as fast as he could, "Soldier on the back! Archers on the front!"
The elves complied and moved according to the boy's command. The elves advanced slowly but surely. What they didn't expect are the orcs taking the initiative and attacked first.
When the boy saw this, he was startled, "Stay in formation, stop the advance! Archers start firing at the charging orcs, fire as fast as you can. Once you ran out of ammo, go behind the line!"
The archers without any hesitation complied and began releasing their arrows so quick and so accurately that the orcs stood no chance when charging. But their ammo is not unlimited, all of them have retreated to the behind of the line by the time the orcs are still halfway toward them.
Abel, still in front of his position, took a glance behind him and saw the soldier standing fearlessly and not flinching at all. He smiled and returned his focus to the charging orcs and shouted once again, "Follow my lead and charge toward the enemies when the counter reached zero!"
''3!" The orcs were surprised by this but changed their stance to a fighting stance with their shield in front of their body and spear in their hand toward their enemies.
"2!" Their determination on their eyes can be seen firing within their pupil and their furrowed eyebrows explained the seriousness and will to fight their enemies.
"1!" Their feet pushed the ground as hard as they could that the dirt on their simple leather boots is pushed backwards. Ready to spring toward the enemies as soon as the count reached 0.
"0!" With all their might, the elves sprung forward and charged toward the orcs.
