Can a game be a dream come true? Jorah has found a world where he can be Megan Proxy, exploring his own gender identity even while exploring a cyberpunk world that is more than it seems. Something in the world isn't working quite right, but is that a product of the game, or of the fact that the game is using his brain as a mainframe for its processing? Will he be able to enjoy living as a woman, or will he be too busy trying to avoid getting killed for the things that he finds while he takes on the role of Megan? Will the secrets that she uncovers be enough to keep her alive, or will he have to process the loss of his female self so soon after finding a way to finally indulge her? Chapter 14: Fighting Fair and Then the Other Thing

There wasn’t time to back away, and there wasn’t time to draw another weapon. So when the second dissident swung his bat, this time at her head, she just reacted.

She stepped forward while leaning back, ducking under the blow and sliding inside the swing. She used the momentum as she pulled her torso back in line to headbutt the dissident forcefully.

NEW ATTACK. Headbutt. 10-14 damage. 75% stun opponent for 2 seconds. Cost: 10 Stamina. Cooldown: 5 seconds.

The dissident staggered and was clearly stunned, and Megan tried to take advantage of that. She punched him in the throat, then across the face.

NEW ATTACK. Combination strike. String two attacks together in less than three seconds, causing the second strike to do double normal damage.

The dissident went down with that second hit. Then Megan got hit in the back with a baseball bat.
