Chapter 78

Before Azula had tried to chase Haru, she had written a report to her father and the generals. It said that she had suspected the direction the Earth King was taking. She had said that she would try to deal with him.

Ozai was reading the report while on his boat.

As expected, Azula was a sharp and intelligent girl to chase Haru while he was in the sea.

However, there was no guarantee that she would win. She may be strong, intelligent and talented. However, she was still just a little 14 years old girl. Kids' creative minds can't win the war.

Ozai, on the other hand, had been to the battlefield and he had known how battle worked.

The Earth King was a very powerful person and direct battles didn't work on him.

In the best case, it would be right to direct him into one location so that even the Avatar won't survive fighting there.

As for his daughter, he didn't mind sacrificing her for his goal. He'd sacrificed his son, father and brother. He didn't mind losing his beloved daughter for the greater good.

Haru was having a leg above another. It had been two days since his battle against the troops of the Fire Nation. He was holding a piece of mirror and he stared at his reflection. He noticed that he had a growing moustache.

It didn't look good at all. So he was trying to shave it.

"Some food please!" yelled a feminine voice. It belonged to the shackled Ty Lee.

Haru moved his hand toward her.

He frowned.

One of the downsides of having hostages was having to deal with their physical needs. And by that, he meant pissing and taking a shit.

Usually, he would just use his metalbending to make them float above the sea and put them down. Once they were done, he would pull them back to the ship.

Azula had been the one to feel most humiliated out of the three. She hadn't eaten these days and only drunk water. But still, Having Haru make her float in the air and shake her to piss, made her cry.

"Can this shit stop already?" Azula muttered as her mouth was free now. "Can you kill me and end up with me? Better yet, throw me to the sea monsters!"

"Nope," Haru muttered, his finger tracing the surface of the ship.

"I admit it. I made a mistake thinking that I would humiliate you. I'm just 14 years old."

"Blame is on your dad for sending you after me. Don't mention your age as if the Earth Kingdom are the good people." Haru said with a lifeless voice. "You should've stayed in your nation."

Azula opened her eyes widely. "Hey, that's torture you know. Who is supposed to be a psychopath? Me, not you!"

Leaning on his back, Haru reached to the side and grabbed a few snacks. He started eating some cookies in front of the hostages.

"You know, I won't mind if you want to eat."

"Keep it for yourself." Azula turned her head.

Ty Lee nodded, and Mai said. "I don't mind."

Creating metal plates, he put the food on them, and he made it float while eating. He didn't need to move his body to bend it.

While feeding the hostages, he was training. He was grinding, even when feeding people.

'My life is consistent training. Even If I achieved peace, I would never stop training. It would be a shame if I don't know my limits.'

"How are you doing that," Azula asked as she looked at the plates.

"Wanna eat or not." He said. The fire princess seemed to want to know how to bend with her mind. Haru knew how talented she was. She was a monster. There is no way he would teach that to her.

"Just one."

Haru made a cookie float toward her, and she received it, crunching it between her teeth.

"So, how long do we still have to arrive?" Haru asked.

Mai and Azula's crunching became louder. Ty Lee answered. "About two days at this speed."

"I see. So I won't have a long time to deal with the Fire Lord." Haru said.

"What do you want to do to my father?" Azula asked this essential question for the first time. Haru looked at her, and he examined her body. He chuckled. Seeing that he was looking at her, she narrowed her eyebrows.

"Is there something funny about my body? Don't look at it." She hissed.

"No. As for your dad, I'll offer him peace."

"Hahaha." Azula couldn't hold her laugh. She stared at Haru and said. "You're really a strange person."

"Says who." Ty Lee muttered. Azula turned to her and hissed, and Ty Lee dodged her gaze.

A day later, the sun rose. The girls were asleep, and Haru was awake in a meditation pose. He was examining the path in front of him in his spiritual form. He found a small fleet heading at him. It seemed that they had been expecting him to arrive. Someone was reading a royal decree from the Fire Lord. Haru had assumed that it was Azula's doing. Before fighting, she must have declared that she would be after Haru. To send such a fleet in his way, it would appear that Ozai knew about Azula's failure. But that would be impossible since no one had been left to report the princess' defeat. The only logical explanation was that the Fire Lord believed that Azula would fail.

'Her father is a fucked up person. Not only did he send his daughter, but he also sent her while lacking faith in her. He was just using her to fight a monster such as myself.'

Haru woke up from his meditation position. He stared at Azula and the rest of the girls. They were asleep.

Azula had attempted in the last few days to wait for him until he would sleep so she would escape.

Unlucky for her and the other girls, Haru wasn't the person who needed to sleep. It'd frustrated them, and it was funny.

Haru made them wake up. They started blinking, annoyed that they didn't get enough rest.

"Alright. Happy news girls." Mocking, Haru stretched his arms. "There is a fleet that's heading in my way, and you are going to fulfil your roles."

Azula, for the first time, smiled. But she said nothing.

"That's too bad." Mai exhaled a long sigh. "I'll have to deal with my crying little brother now."

"I can go back to the circus." Tai Lee said.

"It seems that it's your first time as hostages. You're too optimistic." Mocking, Haru walked to the edge. On the horizon, a fleet of ships appeared. There were so many of them that it was questionable if Haru would be able to defeat them without earth. If they were on land, the earthbender would simply drop meteors on them. Well, he still had three hostages. Two were the daughters of a governor and the Fire Lord.

"You are going to be my cards, to meet your daddy." Haru went to the edge of the ship, facing the ships that were approaching.
