58 Chapter 58

"You two know each other," Haru asked as he looked between Kyoshi and Wang.

Having her eyes fixed on the owl, she said. "I met him when I was alive. An outlaws organisation had stolen some books from his library, and he came to me to retrieve them. I asked my followers to do so."

"Well, I'm thankful. Most importantly, I'm thankful that incident happened to participate in my final conclusion. Humans will always seek knowledge to defeat other humans. And as thus, I, Wang Shi Tong, who knows 10.000 things, decided to keep my knowledge for myself."

Kyoshi clicked her tongue. "You see, the way you talk…"

It annoyed her.

"So, this means we are allowed here?" Haru asked.

Wang sighed. "The last time a human came here had been seeking a method to defeat his enemies. Not only so, but he burned a bunch of my library. As much as I respect Kyoshi, I don't allow humans here. You, in the end, will use the knowledge to destroy your enemy. And Thus, I came to rule to not allow humans in my library."

Haru turned his head and exhaled a laugh. He found it funny.

"Is there something funny about my words?"

Haru looked at Wong. Although the spirit had a monster look, it didn't intimidate Haru.

He said. "You think I need knowledge, ancient knowledge, to take down an enemy who uses advanced weapons. You gotta be kidding me."

Although he was seeking the hypnosis method, he didn't really need it to destroy his enemy.

It was for the sake to end the war faster.

And there are many other ways to seek knowledge.

However, staying in this library will allow Haru to more knowledge, which will increase his Wisdom Stats.

Wang took a deep breath. His eyes were now fixed on Haru. It was hard to tell how the owl felt.

"And how probably are you going to use the knowledge? Why would you seek it anyway."

"It makes me wiser," Haru said. "Besides, I'm a curious person. Curiosity is like hunger and thirst. The last two push you to eat and drink. Knowledge helps you to achieve inner peace."

"Well, I like your answer, mortal." Wang Shi Tong. "But to enter my library, you have to contribute something."

"I don't need to read, I'm just over here to observe this young kid." She put her hand on Haru's head. Somehow, her teasing almost made him overreact. But he held himself, and he felt his cheeks getting hot. Luckily, he is tanned.

When Haru stared at her eyes, she smiled and said. "You were the one who said you are in touch with their inner child."

Wang pointed his wing to the left, and he said. "You are allowed to get in. You are spirit now. You can't even use what you learn. As for you, young kid, you have to give the knowledge to get knowledge."

Haru put his hand under his chin. He thought of some knowledge from high school from his previous life, and he said.

"Alright. Write it down."

Wan opened his wing, and he took a scroll and a feather.

Haru opened his hand, and a piece of metal sneaked from his armour, forming a spring.

"You see. What I'm about to tell you had never been discovered before. And you are the only one to have this knowledge."

"Go ahead."

"I'm about to introduce you to gravity. Earth, this planet, applies force to everything and it's called Gravity. And it's constant. If you let something, the earth will pull it down. Always down, and not up."

"And how are you going to prove that such a force exists." Wan seemed to be curious.

Haru linked a rock to the spring, and it stretched. "Mark the distance on how much the spring extended." He then put a heavier object. The spring stretched more. "Mark this one."

"Done."

"Now divide the weight by the distance. And you will have the same result. It's called gravity acceleration. And that's the power earth applies." Haru said. "Hey, don't forget to give me credit."

"Such a bright mind! Gravity, so it was here all the time! In the name of the spirits!" Wan Shi Tong was surprised. He flew away with the rock, weighted them, and did the calculations. The old wise spirit finally screamed. "It's true. There is a force to pull everything down, and it's around 7.555… I'll name this number after you. What's your name again."

"Haru." Haru shrugged his shoulder. '7.555… that's wrong. It should be around 10… but that's Newton.'

Kyoshi and Suki both looked at Haru, seeming to understand a little. They looked at the spring, and they seemed to think of it.

"No wonder you are good at earthbending," Kyoshi remarked. "You understand earth to such a degree. You are really a genius. I'm proud of you."

"Well, he is the prince of the Earth Kingdom. He is that smart."

"Thanks," Haru didn't know how to react to the praise. He only kept a stiff expression. 'Stop praising me that much, I'm going to be too happy.'

Wan Shi Tong said. "You have my respect. In my thousands of years, I never got my hands on such knowledge. For now, you have access to my library."

"You can experiment with this." He left him the spring.

Haru then walked in with his group, leaving Wan Shi Tong to play with the spring.

-x-X-x-

"Never knew that you are a genius, Haru." Said Suki, as Haru went to one table and picked up a bunch of books.

This section was talking about the Earth Kingdom and the life of the leaders.

It should increase his Wisdom points.

He checked on his stats.

[Affinities:

Wisdom: 83

Physique: 42

Agility 18 (+9)

Affinity Points: 8

Skill Points: 7]

Haru had a couple of boxes, an Epic box and a Gift box. He decided to open them.

Opening the gift box gained him. [+ Passive boost on agility (+10%)]

His agility increased by two points.

Opening the Epic box gained him this. [+ Mud Healing method skill. (Allows the person to use earthbending to channel Chi to heal yourself or someone. It can be used to heal wounds and take the stress off the body)]

And he got a notification asking him if he wants to learn the skill.

[+ Active Skill: Mud Healing (0/100)]

That was a good gain. Haru may heal faster without having to drink ten litres of water.

Enough with the sarcasm, he started reading. His high wisdom stats allowed him to read fast and remember anything with one glance.

[Wisdom +1] That happened after reading 2 books about one king's adventures.

[Wisdom +1] [Wisdom +1]….

There was an almost infinite number of books, and Haru was getting wiser and wiser. He was flipping the pages that made Suki and Kyoshi look at him strangely.

Suki turned to her book and started reading slowly, unlike Haru.

Kyoshi, however, stared at Haru. He could tell that she was looking at him, but he chose not to look back. He knew that she was sensing his spiritual power. Well, it's not up to Haru anyway.

"So, how long are you going to stay here."

"A week won't harm."

"Wasn't your purpose to learn about that method without having to go to Ba Sing Se," Kyoshi said. Haru had already discussed his plan of controlling the Fire Lord for less bloodshed, and she seemed to approve of it.

"I'm going anyway," Haru said. He had already taken a few tasks. "However, I'm consuming knowledge now."

This place was a cheat place to him. Books had been rare in his village, that's why his Wisdom increased slowly. Now with the library with books, from every era almost, his Wisdom will increase by tens and tens of points. It's training.

"Not bad mortal." Came a voice from the owl that flew passed them.

Haru ignored Wan's voice.

Five hours passed. Once he was done reading this section about the adventures of the leaders, he moved to another section. He could move to the leaders of the Fire Nation, or try to find more. But he felt that he should focus on his primary goal now that he gained more wisdom.

His Wisdom increased to 95 points now, and that was good for now.

Now, he moved to the medical section. By looking at the title of the books, he tried to find the ones that talk about the brain and study the human on a nonphysical level.

After reading the titles, Haru stopped at a book. "How to change a person's mindset by hypnosis. Long-term version."

Such a thing can be used for a noble purpose, so it could be used for a bad one. It could be used to help people with traumatic experiences, so it could be used to control people.

Haru picked up every book on this shelf. Wan Shi Tong was a genius when it comes to organising books. You can find your goal without wasting much time. Haru sat down and started reading. By this time, Suki slept on the shelf and Kyoshi was meditating to pass time. Haru was reading.

"Interesting."

Haru just learnt that you can make someone's mind go blank by repeating a movement pattern.

There was another method, which requires him to use Needles and poke Chi points. It was faster and more assured.

He waved his hands in the air, imagining

[+ 1 active skill. Hypnosis Dance level 1]

(Create movements for the mind of the target to go blank. Then anything you implant into their mind wouldn't find resistance;

The higher the level of the skill, the more things you can do.

At the current level you can only give them suggestions)

It was good. But that was hypnosis, not brainwashing.

[Wisdom +1]

He picked up another book about Chi points and the mind.

If Haru had to admit one thing, he was amazed by the knowledge in these books.

He had just learnt how Chi points, and how each one serves a purpose. It can be used to give a person nightmares, and it can be used to heal, or brain control for some time.

'Fire Lord, you are going to be my puppet' Haru smirked.
