24 Chapter 24

Haru stood up in the jail after he introduced himself as a prince. Well, he usually doesn't like introducing himself as someone of high status. But if he declared his name as the Crown Prince, then it will give his name weight in the heart of the prisoners.

They were around sixty earth bender. If he could use them, they will be a very strong army.

Among them, there may be around 10 people with the potential to become metalbenders.

But still, possibilities are just possibilities. They may all bend metal, or all of them may not have the potentials to learn it.

"Prince of Omashu. Bumi didn't have a kid the last time I was out." Approached a middle-aged woman in her thirties with large boobs, tattered clothes, green eyes and long black hair.

"I was given the title after I beat him in a battle," Haru said with a voice full of confidence.

"You are for sure?" she asked. The others approached him. The middle-aged people and older seemed not to believe his words.

Instead of saying something, Haru pointed his hand to the ground. "How do you think I dug a tunnel here If I were weak?"

"What if you are deceiving us." Asked a little girl, who was 12 years old. It seems that she had been prisoned here ever since she had reached eight.

"Why would I?" Haru bent down, patted the girl on the head, and said. "If I were with the enemy and meant harm to you, I won't do something that is considered impossible for every earthbender."

"Mm… right. The mean guard would usually take someone and torture them. My daddy was killed last year."

Haru patted the girl on the shoulder, his face getting gloomy.

"Why is that?"

"Some firebenders have weird tastes. Anyone who protests against having a girl taken will be killed." Answered a brown-haired woman sitting by the corner. "Luckily for us, they get bored."

Haru noticed that most of the men here were single, or didn't have a spouse with them.

Most of the women seemed to be lifeless. It was easy to assume that any man would fight back when someone wants to do something with his girl. And thus, they would be killed.

Well, it was a nice way to get suicide. It's better than living prisoned.

No wonder most of the benders here are women.

"Then let's leave," Haru said. "Who's Rong's parents by the way."

The middle-aged woman with long black hair and large boobs lifted her hand.

"My son! Is he okay? You know him?" she said as she put her hands on his shoulder and shook him.

Haru forced a smile when he saw his face getting shaken in her chest's direction.

"Yeah, he tried to rob me, and I took him for a meal. It appeared that he hasn't eaten for a long time."

"So, he has been living like that." She lowered her head. She then said. "Thank you for feeding him. My name is Rune. I owe you one."

Haru took her hands off his shoulder, turned to the hopeless people, and said, "I guess if you have family out there, they must have lived like this. Won't you want to go after them?"

If they don't have hope, then Haru will give them motivation.

The benders looked at each other.

"So, who will come with me," Haru said. "And I'm not using metaphors."

They nodded.

"Alright prince, we will follow you." Said Rune.

Haru pointed at the metal gate. Some guards will come from there. When he clenched his fist, the lock was destroyed, and the door's metal fused with the wall, which will make it impossible to get in.

One by one, the prisoners started jumping into the tunnel. Haru was the last one to get in. Since everyone was an earthbender, they could transfer through earth easily, even though they hadn't practised for many years now. Of course, they weren't as fast as Haru was. And they couldn't see inside.

When everyone got out, Haru was the last. He got to the surface, and every bender was taking a defensive position.

"What's going on," Haru asked.

A brown-haired girl turned to him. "Fire benders are here. They are surrounding us."

"Let's just fight!" Rune yelled.

Haru let a sigh. He lifted his hand, and around 13 large spears appeared around him. Haru pointed in different directions, and the spears flew at the benders with blinding speed that they couldn't dodge. Not to mention that it was night and they would be barely able to see.

[Low-rank fire soldier + 400 exp]

[Killing Captain + 3000 exp]

Haru created a few more swords, and he managed to kill the rest of the fire benders.

"Prince…" they turned to him. Haru had shown his strong earth techniques. Usually, an earthbender would take time to even shape a spear, let alone shape that many and use them at the same time.

"You guys have some rest… and then, attack the law enforcement fire benders at the town."

An old man voiced his opinion. "But then, the firebenders from this base will come after us."

"No, they won't," Haru said.

The light was directed at them from the tower.

*Bell sound*

"Shit! They found out about us." Rune yelled and lifted her arms, creating an earth wall in front of her. The rest did the same.

"No use. They know that we escaped."

"It's okay. We just have to fight to end. I rather die than go back to that shit hole."

The earthbenders nodded at each other, deciding to fight for the last breath.

The large gates of the base were getting opened.

In the middle of the anxious earthbenders, Haru took a step forward. He was the only one who was focused.

"You guys… girls… since most of you are girls," Haru spoke. "Do right as I told you. I will fight them on my own."

Haru waved his hands, and the gates closed on their own, locking the firebenders in.

Sure, there is more than a hundred firebender in.

But Haru had the absolute advantage in this base since it was made of metal.

Still, many will gather in the middle of the base, and there will be many useful skills to use.

To Haru, that skill was very hard to train, but he decided to use it anyway.

[Physique Shift up to level 5]

Using 3 points, Haru upgraded this skill.

In the worse case, he will turn this base into an inferno.

"Prince!" someone yelled.

Ignoring him, Haru activated earthbound, flying in the base's direction, before moving up along with the wall. Some guards were at the top, and they aimed their fire at Haru. But since he was faster, he managed to dodge everything aimed at him. Haru climbed the top of the wall, flipped, and landed on his feet.

Haru pointed his hand in two different directions. Two men were having their stance and were ready to shoot fire at him. The guards' armours tightened, chocking them on the spot.

"So, I've heard you guys have been looking for me," Haru said, looking at the main yard as many soldiers were getting out of the doors, and gathering.

"And who are you!?" A man in fancy-looking armour, which started his position, came. He then examined Haru's face, and he said. "Haru… You are the who ambushed a hundred and twenty men of ours. No mistake of it."

"Oh. You must be General Zhao." Haru said.

"So what If I am." He smirked. "You are cornered. We have two hundred men here who are ready to kill you. We were about to hunt you down, but you saved us trouble. Now, die."

General Zhao flipped in the air and pushed his hands forward, sending a large fireball at Haru.

Haru stomped, and the metal beneath him created a wall that took the blast. Haru didn't need his eyes to know where his target is. He extended his hand forward, and he lifted it.

General Zhao started floating in the air thanks to his armour.

"General!" a soldier yelled.

"Help me!" Zhao yelled as his men were looking at him with wide-opened eyes.

Zhao floated until he found himself in front of Haru. "Someone like you is a valuable person, I will use you as a human shield."

Before Zhao could do anything, Haru pinned him to the wall. The metal shifted its shape, swallowing Zhao's hands and legs, making him unable to move.

With his index, Haru made the metal wall float. It spun and made Zhao face the soldiers down.

Haru looked down the walls as more men and some women gathered. "You wanna shoot me, go ahead. But make no mistake, cause I will leave the one who kills Zhao alive, to go back to their home."

Haru smiled. His words made him sound like a real villain.

The soldiers down clenched their teeth, their hands had flames on them, but no one dared to make the first move.

Who will be stupid enough to kill Zhao and take the blame?

"No one?" Haru asked. Seeing that more than a hundred people were gathered in one spot, he decided to grind one valuable skill.

A rock that was as large as Haru floated above him. It glowed in golden colour, fire surrounding it. Haru waved his finger down, and the large rock flew fast.

The firebenders ran in different directions.

The meteor landed, and it exploded. The shockwave killed a bunch of soldiers that were around it. The rest flew in every direction.

In the explosion spot, the metal seemed to start melting.

[Earth Meteor up to level 3]

[Earth Meteor up to level 4]

It seems that the skill levelled up because he applied it against many people. The more their number the more his skill gained experience.

He also gained more experience with his character.

"Okay… let's dance." Haru lifted his hand, and this time, because of the level up, a larger boulder was lifted from the earth. It was 2 meters in diameter. It glowed up and was surrounded by fire. Haru could tell it was hotter and faster.

He looked at the place where most of the fire soldiers were gathered.

Instead of trying to attack him, they started running for their lives.

Another group, which was far from the focus spot, thought of themselves as clever ones and they attacked Haru with fire. But Zhao was the one to take all of it.

Haru turned and he made the meteor fall on them. This time, it drained him a lot of Chi, and it flew so fast. A larger explosion occurred. The ground shook, and many people flew in different directions from the power of the impact.

[Earth Meteor up to level 5]

'I can tell it used around 600 Chi Points… so, the bigger and the faster, the more Chi it uses.'

Haru let the dead Zhao fall, and he raised his hands, making 5 meters metal wall in front of him. He then lifted his hands. Around twenty swords floated, and Haru said. "Don't worry. It's fast and painless."

So, a sword rain fell on them. The benders couldn't do anything in their difference since Haru was protected by a thick metal wall. And the metal swords started piercing them. When they thought it was over, Haru made more swords float and fall on them. Sometimes, he would send a larger meteor.

The benders tried to escape, but Haru bent the metal to lock them in the yard. The battle was unequal for them. Fighting him in a prison made of metal was like fighting waterbenders inside of the ocean.

[Ding, you levelled up]
