The City Gate Protector

Before I fully peek outside of the Gate, other than me, other onlookers were bewildered of what they witnessed, especially those who isn't originally the residents here, like Merchants, Local Adventurers and Otherworlders.

What we witnessed is a Big and Green Monster, and almost 2 to 3 meter long of its footprint not far away from very gate.

Not one but there's so many monsters from the outside.

I was curious, or not.

Because I know who was responsible for this phenomenon.

Looking at it. . .As I thought, the monster was Cyclops—— no not that, it was the one who was flying like a mosquito, or rather it was so fast that a naked eye could only see was the flying black cape and its long weapon.

it was the East City guard Protector, Lancer.

with Black thin, ragged Cloak and using its Lance to pierce, stab and slash an enemy. And with its flexibility, mobility and maneuverability, it was like dancing through air just like it was the wind itself.

And with attacks from ground to air, and air to ground, one of the cyclops without further ado, collapsed and lump its body unto the ground, Lifeless.

And not far away from the battlefield, there are two other Cyclops who was lying there unmoving.

Cyclops— its color derived from Green to Grey, a Demon Monster with only one big eye, they are strong depends on their color. They say it was Descendant of a Titan because of its height from 15 to 50 metes, —a Giant creature from cold history.

But this Cyclops came from that continent so the rumor and fiction become a fact in itself.

Still, it has without a doubt a gigantic height and monstrous raw strength, so this Giant was classified as a High-Rank in an Adventurers [Book of Almanac]. a Book of this worlds creatures difficulty level.

Another stab arrived at one of the Cyclop's single eye, it howled in pain, and blindly stretch its hand to grab Lancer, unfortunately for him he only grab is only but an air. Infuriated, it Stomp its feet on the ground, creating tremor and shockwave cutting air enters to where I was. It was neglible though.

Lancer immediately flipped back.

After that, the Hood covering its head removed. There, anyone gasps in surprised. Lancer is a tall with a beautiful crimson hair and blue pupil. A face of not a warrior but a stunning and gorgeous beautiful lady.

You've doubting her if you didn't see with your own two eyes how she defeated this high rank demon by herself.

That girl name was Lancer, and my childhood friend.

Damn it! too strong. She was without a doubt incredibly strong! I still can't get used to it

But... What the hell?

That monstrous strength of Cyclops isn't a trifling matter to deal with, yes? Even a party of Veteran Adventurer, they had a difficulty dealing one, much less defeated that thing without a casualty. Too bad, his Enemy was the 'flash' Lancer.

Another minutes later, one of the Cyclops flopped down, and followed by another. All were annihilated this time.

Cheers enveloped inside the Gates who was spectating this Amazing soldier.

right now, Her total kill was 5 Cyclops. 5 Cyclops for God's sake.

Who was this stunning beauty?! majority of them gazed at this Beautiful Girl.

"Amazing! La-la-lancer-sama~!" I shivered after hearing a joyfully shout of Raljan, fangirling. but 'sama'? I didn't know this Guy is a Big fan of hers, not until now.

P.O.V of Lancer

Whew, its a good excercise for this morning, It was exhilarating. Five Cyclops? even if its a Demon King, if that thing stepped foot inside my turf, I will kill it.

Haaaaa—

I sigh heavily and stretched my arm after killing this bunch of small fry and heared some cheers coming from my back inside the wall. I look at them and narrow my eyes and was ready leap up where my original Postion was.

Baaaah Arseholes, I dont need your f*cking Cheers. I sweared but I saw a Silhouette. A very familiar Silhouette. I lick my lips seeing him again..

Zooooooom—

In a blink of an eye, I run towards and now in front of him, I heard a cry from my back, some flipped upside down from sudden shockwave. But who cares for a small fry.

"So you're here! I really missed you. you know?" I smilingly said and ruffled his head. Euphoria feels me in

"hm, El— Lancer-san, there are many people in here, its embarrassing you know?" he said whilst his other eye were close, looking at my back and grab my arm rustling his hair, he flushingly red. He he, cute.

"Come! I'll show you the scenery I saw everyday!" I grab his arm and ready to jump upward but he stopped me.

"Lancer-san, I have some work to do you know? I have to help this Granny here" he retorted.

Hmmm~

"Okay, Frey, come here!" I shouted Frey's name, my Liuetenant.

"Yes Captain!" He saluted after looking at the said granny

"You take good care of Granny here and her case, I'll leave them to you~" I wink at him.

"Y—Yes ma'am!" He wanted to say something but after some glare he replied Immediately.

Haaa— Men being Men. but of course my Yulin was an exception.

P.O.V of Yulin

After she grabbed me and jump upward, I saw the onlookers who was affected by this Girl's superspeed and also Raljan, who was stupefied, but Leiutenant Frey snapped his finger in front of Raljan who at the same time snap back as they immedieately discussed something

"—you Guard here instead and I will do this work alone" is what I fragmently heard of what Frey said to Raljan. Sorry buddy, is what I thought.

"This is more embarrassing you know" I then, said so to Elilah as she rushed out.

It was Lancer's real name.

Its been 5 years since then, after she become the Protector of this City. the higher ups gave her a courtesy name which is [Lancer] and a Noble Position which is [Knight].

It was lowest of a Noble Class but she didn't accept the nobility but instead only accepted a piece of Land came from the king, thats where our Home until was now, and since we are an Orphan. some of her land become an Extension of the Orphanage who adopts us.

"He he, what? I really missed you, you know?"

"What? arent we just met 4 hours ago?"

She happily said, but of course I retorted and only reply with smile. She really is caring. She at the same time, only said wad "I only miss you, thats all~" and grinned

After we went up and put me down, I was surprised.

"So— this is what you always saw?"

I asks and felt gloomy, because I saw miles away was mountains, deprived from life whose clouded with darkness.

"No not that, there" She point her hand at our southeast. I wasnt surprised as it was a normal scenery any person achieved to see when one is looking from atop of the hill. A place full of green mountains. It was a land prospher of life. eh?

"Wh—what the!?" I was amazed because what she really pointed was at the very center.

"Are you lost? though in a normal person, it was creepy. For me it was an amazing scenery, and I'm sure you feel the same" She smile again.

I saw was a place between Green mountains full of life and a Dark mountaind deprived of life.

"Why the hell is that thing...." stuttered of what I saw. . .Is because, it was at the very center of two different and separated place of uncharted Demon Continent and Human Continent was--

--It was miles away, but that thing could still be seen by the naked eye. it was too big but for that thing there, and the hell? I can clearly saw it.
