108 Visiting her Aunt

He smiled at her and said, " I cannot see tears in the eyes of people who are close to my heart. And also I know the pain of losing a loved one…" 

Her heart skipped when he mentioned her as she was the one among the closest ones to his heart. She forgot to blink her eyes for a few seconds staring at him.

Their eyes locked with each other and lost themselves as if they were looking into each other's souls.

" Why do you care for me so much! " The words came out of her mouth all of a sudden. She bit her inner cheek realising what she asked and immediately lowered her eyes. She didn't feel awkward with his touch, instead she felt safe.

Before he answered her, they heard the door creaking sound. Instantly Ava removed her hand from his palms and felt so tense. Just then Lewis entered the cabin and interrupted their moment.

" Oh….I am sorry to disturb you both. I will be back afterwards…" Lewis said as soon as he noticed them having their lunch together.
