Is she in danger?
As Ava lay on the bed, her thoughts continued to swirl, tangled in confusion and curiosity. But the exhaustion from the day's events began to weigh heavily on her. Her eyelids fluttered, and despite the turmoil in her mind, her body gave in to the overwhelming fatigue.
Slowly, she drifted into sleep, her breathing steadying as her thoughts faded into the background. The room grew quiet, the only sound the faint rustling of the curtains as a gentle breeze swept through the window. Yet, even in her sleep, a part of her remained on edge, bracing for whatever Cameron's next move would be.
After a few hours, a soft knock echoed through the room, pulling Ava from her sleep. She blinked her eyes open, momentarily disoriented before slowly getting up and walking to the door. As she opened it, she was met by Daisy standing there, concern etched on her face.
The moment their eyes met, Daisy quickly pulled Ava into a tight hug.
