I am not your babysitter

" Let's go, Miss. Miller…" Cameron ordered. She stood up from the chair and followed him silently. She felt so embarrassed as she became the reason for the interruption of the important meeting.

As soon as they climbed into the car, Cameron instructed the driver to take them to Thomson street.  Ava was clueless about where they were going. Within fifteen minutes, they reached Thomson street. 

" Stop the car at St.Paul Hospital…" he ordered the driver in a serious tone. Ava was bewildered when he mentioned the hospital.

" Is he taking me to the hospital! " she wondered.

Once the car stopped, the driver opened the door for them to get down. " Let's go inside…" he said in a stern voice.

Without informing the staff at the hospital, he entered the doctor's cabin along with Ava. The doctor who was already examining another patient looked at Cameron. 

"Hi… Kaira. She is Ava, my employee. She fainted in the meeting…" Cameron said. The doctor examined Ava's face and asked Cameron to give her a few minutes.

" You knew…I hate waiting…Will you check her!" he said in a loud voice.

" You are the same impatient fellow…" she smiled and asked Ava to sit in the patient's chair. She checked Ava's pulse and eyes.

" Are you dieting! " she questioned Ava.

" No…" she replied.

" Have you had food since this morning! " she asked Ava. She nodded her head as No.

" I think….her sugar level is less and her pulse rate is less than normal. One day of rest will be better," she suggested to Ava and looked at Cameron.

" I think you are stressing your employees, Cams? " she said. 

" I will leave now…" he said and stood up from the chair. " Cam…wait. First, let your employee have something. I will order some juice for her…" Kaira stopped him.

Cameron signaled with his eyes to Ava to sit in her cabin. " How are you feeling working there?  " she asked him.

" As if someone kept a knife on my throat… hope you are happy.." he replied. She laughed at his reply and said, " Very funny…."

Meanwhile one of the staff entered with a tray of three juice glasses. Ava hesitated to take fruit juice. " Miss. Miller, I am not your babysitter to take care of you. Have it. We have to go to work, " he said seriously. Instantly Ava took the glass and started drinking with fear.

" Cam…is it a way to talk! Don't you think you are so rude! " Kaira objected.

" I will always be like this! " he replied. Kaira sighed with his reply and looked at Ava. " Don't mind, miss. My friend has been like that since childhood. He cares for people but doesn't know how to show it, especially through words, " Kaira said to Ava.  Ava gave a small smile and looked at Cameron from the corner of her eyes.

" okay. Bye…." He stood up and walked out of her cabin whereas Ava followed him to the car.

After some time, the car stopped at her apartment. 

" Miss. Miller, get down…." He ordered her. She looked at him confusingly without getting down.

" I am giving you off for ten days," he said seriously.

" Mr. Richards…I will be fine by tomorrow morning. I don't need off, " she replied instantly.

" I am the boss, not your babysitter to take care of you if you are sick. So stay at home and take some rest…" he said in a stern voice.

She nodded her head and got down the car. 

" Weird man…" she thought while walking to the elevator. Cameron observed until she was away from his site.

He took a long sigh and thought, " Until she is back to work, Lancelot will leave the city"

" Drive to the company…" Cameron instructed the driver.  But little did he know that Lancelot was obsessed with Ava.
