44 Heartless CEO for her

As time never stops for anyone, the next morning came quickly. She woke up to the alarm sound and walked to the bathroom. While brushing her teeth, she saw her reflection in the mirror. Her eyes were red and swollen because of crying last night. She quickly completed her business and came out of the bathroom. Ava dressed for her work and came out of her bedroom. 

" Ava….breakfast is ready…" Her aunt called her. But she was in no mood to eat anything. " I need to go to work early. I will eat in the canteen" she lied to her and stepped out of her apartment.

After shifting to the apartment, the workplace became nearer to her. She walked silently to the company. She doesn't want to see his face as to how he spoke with her earlier. But she had no choice but to work in the company. The first one is the company policies and the second one is she needed the job.

As soon as she reached her desk, she got busy with work. After a while, she heard footsteps approaching in her direction and raised her head to see who the person was.  She was surprised to see her colleague, Clara. 

" Hey, Miss. Miller…Good morning…" she greeted.

" Good morning…" Ava greeted her back.

" Can you tell me when Mr. Richards will be free! " she asked. Ava looked at her but didn't reply to her question. As per norms, she shouldn't give information about her boss.

" I can't disclose his schedule to the others as per norms. Sorry," she replied politely.

" Please….it's some sort of emergency. I need to talk with him about my loan. He could only help me with this. Please…" she requested.  " It's a medical loan…for…my mother…" she added.

Ava noticed her sad face and felt bad for her.

" Okay, fine. I will check it out and tell you…." She started checking out on her laptop. Then she informed Clara, " He will be available after lunch"

" Thank you for the information, " Clara said with a small smile. But Ava had a small doubt in her mind about the loan.

 " Can I ask you why you need to meet the CEO to get a loan? The loans will be sanctioned by the finance department right! And the HR department can help you in this matter" she doubted.

" I joined here as an employee one year and ten months back. As per company policy, the employees can apply for loans only after two years. If they have not completed their service for two years, the loan will not be sanctioned. So I want to request our CEO, " she said.

" Do you think that Arrogant and heartless CEO will help you! " she asked Clara. 

" I don't know but I will try…" she replied. Then he continued, " Mr. Richards may be arrogant but not heartless as far as I know" 

" Maybe…if he likes that person but for me, he is a heartless and arrogant man" Ava said sarcastically.

Clara chuckled at her words and said, " This is the first time, I am hearing someone cursing our CEO. Every girl in this company thinks he is hot and handsome.  Most importantly, all women are envious of you for working as his assistant. But you look like you dislike him" 

" Yes, I don't like him… " Ava said strongly. Clara was startled by her statement and looked at her like an alien who came from another planet.

" We thought Mr. Cameron and you knew each other and recommended you for this post"  Clara said.  

" No…I was never interested in friendship with a playboy like him. I hate him…" she replied. Clara was curious to know why Cameron recommended her job. " Then why did he select you as his assistant! " 

Ava narrated whatever happened between them and why he gave her a job as his Assistant. On hearing everything, Clara was shocked.

" If he wants to trouble you then why did he appoint you to this company instead of cancelling your appointment in this company! " she questioned her.

" Maybe…that psycho wants to trouble me every day to boost his ego…" Ava replied.

" Till now, I saw many girls falling for our hot CEO. You are the first one to curse him, to hate him. You are different…" Clara giggled.

All of sudden, they both heard a boot clicking approaching them. Their heads turned in the direction and found a man coming to the CEO lobby. She didn't expect the person to see him so soon.

Meanwhile, he walked toward Clara and Ava. " Good morning, Miss Ava. Is Cameron in his cabin! " Lancelot asked Ava.

" Good morning, sir. He has not yet come to the office? " she replied.

" Okay. I need to go now. Maybe Mr. Richards will anytime" Clara whispered in her ears and walked away from the place.

" Sir, you can wait in the visitor's room, if you want to meet Mr. Richards," she said. 

" I have no problem waiting in your cabin, Mr. Ava. I assure you that I won't disturb your work…" he said, not giving her a chance to speak. She needed to agree with him.

After a few seconds, she continued working on her laptop. Lancelot sat opposite her table on the chair observing her features creepily. Just then Cameron walked out of the elevator and found Lancelot in Ava's cabin. His blood boiled on seeing him at her desk.

He went to his cabin with a serious face and kicked back the door with his leg. Ava immediately went to his cabin with the slamming sound of the door.

" Mr. Richards….what is that sound! " she asked anxiously.
