Embarrassed

 The next morning, Ava's eyelids fluttered when the sun's rays hit her face as she forgot to close the window last night.  She closed her eyes with one palm and sat on the bed in a sleepy state. She stepped down from the bed, placed her feet, and wore her flip-flops. She yawned while rubbing her eyes and went to the bathroom.  

After completing her business, she came out wrapping a towel around her body. Then suddenly she found a man who was shirtless through the window. She saw his muscular back as he turned away from her. Her heart raced fast knowing that some stranger stood opposite her window. She ran back to the bathroom and took another towel. She covered it from her shoulder to her chest. While gripping it tightly, she closed the window and curtain. 

" What if the person saw me with only a towel! " She felt embarrassed.

" Thank God! He was standing in the opposite direction" she said, leaning on the window glass. She stayed like that in the same position until her mind calmed down. Then she wore her dress and went to the kitchen to prepare morning coffee.

She poured milk into the vessel and placed it on the stove to heat. As it was a new place, she was searching for something on the shelf. 

" Ahhh…." 

Ava screamed as she felt some hand on her shoulder. Already she was a bit scared and embarrassed by the morning incident.

" Hey….girl….What happened, it's me  …" Aunt Garry said in a low voice.

She sighed relaxedly and said, " I was scared thinking of someone…."

Aunt Garry looked at her skeptically as she knew she is a strong and independent woman and never scared of small things.

" Is everything okay!" She questioned Ava.

" yeah….yeah. As it is a new place, I was scared, " she answered with a smile. " Just a minute, I will prepare coffee for both of us," she said and asked her to wait at the dining table. 

Aunt Garry smiled and left the kitchen. After a while, Ava with two coffee mugs to the dining chairs.

" Ava…Can I ask you something? " Aunt Garry asked in a low voice. There was hesitation in her eyes.

She looked into her eyes and said, " You are my God-given mother. You shouldn't ask me, but you have to order me…" 

Aunt Garry gave a small smile and said, " I am feeling bored when you are at work. So I want to pass time in some activity…"

Instantly Ava replied, " Except Job, you can do anything staying at home…" 

" I had always wished to maintain a small nursery garden at home. As this apartment has a lawn balcony, I want to buy indoor plants and small flowering plants…." 

" You know….gardening is also good for health…" she added.

Ava raised her hand and kept her thumb up with a big smile. " Okay.  I will get ready in twenty minutes. Let's go now." She informed her, sipping her coffee.

Finally, they went to plant stores to buy a few indoor plants, plastic pots, and other stuff for the plants. Looking around the plant stores, Garry was so happy.

She walked towards one pink rose plant and looked at the flower. She had tears in her eyes looking at it.

" Do you want this plant! '' the worker said to her. She nodded her head silently. Meanwhile, Ava selected five indoor plants and five flowering plants. She walked toward the counter and looked at the pink rose. Then she understood that it was selected by her Aunt.

She realized her Aunt is also missing her as she is missing Dolly. She silently walked to the bill counter and paid the bill. Then she noticed the wet eyes of her Aunt.
