Chapter 66

Alice removed her reading glasses and placed it on the table in her office, she reached out for the glass of coffee and took a sip of it. Suddenly, a knock was heard on the door.

"Come in," Alice said out loud.

"Good morning my queen," the man who was in charge of Ezekiel's activities greeted her with his head hang low.

"Good morning, Matt, how are you doing?" Alice asked so casually.

"I am fine your majesty, it is just that I have something to tell you," Matt said.

"What is that?" She asked while sipping her coffee.

"It is about Ezekiel," Matt added.

"And what about him?" Alice asked calmly.

"He met Gracie yesterday," he announced and Alice felt like a sword sliced through her heart. This son of hers would be her death.

Why on earth does he still love Gracie? They are a forbidden pair, can't he understand that? They are never meant to be together thanks for everything that happened centuries ago.

And that Gracie of a girl, doesn't she know that Ezekiel is married or is she not aware that she can never be with Ezekiel?

Alice felt like smashing their heads on the wall right now, she was bloodthirsty and she knew the right person to vent out her frustration.

"That for that important information Matt," Alice said, getting up. She walked up to Matt and tapped him slightly on his shoulder.

"Keep the good job up," alive whispered into his ears and left.

Alice drove into Ezekiel's house and parked her car. She went to the main building.

"Good…"

"I want to see Ezekiel now," Alice interrupted Alexa who was greeting her.

"I am sorry ma'am but my master says he wants no disturbance," Alexa told her.

"Oh! Now I am disturbing him, right?" Alice asked as she stepped closer to Alexa.

"I need to see the prince now, order from the queen and you know my words are superior or have you forgotten who I really am because we are in the human world? My words are still power," she whispered into Alexa's ear making her shiver.

Alexa paled at once realizing that Alice used her power as a queen in her. In their world, the queen was everything, her words are finally.

"I would inform him that you are here," Alexa replied as she strode away.

"That is more like it, it feels good to be a queen," Alice said to herself.

"Mother," Ezekiel's voice filled the living room, he had been grumpy about seeing his mother but when Alexa told him that she used her authority as a queen, he had no choice but to obey than to bear the consequences, his father would definitely hand him over to his mother to deal with him.

His father hasn't really forgiven him because he cost him his first son, Elijah. Oh no! Let's not go there, that is a topic that made him feel sick.

"Why are you here?" He asked angrily.

"Why were you with Gracie?" Alice thundered and it was at that moment Evie hid behind the curtains and eavesdropped.

"Answer my question Ezekiel! Why were you with Gracie?" Alice asked, fire burning in her eyes.

'Gracie? Isn't she the woman Ezekiel went to see?' questions filled Evie's head.

"What now mother? You monitor my life?" Ezekiel asked.

"Answer the damn question!" Alice roared.

"Fine. I went to see her because she is the person that means a lot to me, I have lost so much persons in my life and I can't lose her!" Ezekiel answered.

"What nonsense!" Alice roared. This son of hers would definitely send her to an early grave.

"I have plans mom," Ezekiel said calmly.

"What plans Ezekiel?"

"Plans that I have been orchestrating for the past seven hundred years!" Ezekiel retorted.

'Seven hundred what?' Evie yelled in her mind. What was going on?

"Please you have to keep it down, there are humans in the house," Alexa had to intervene to stop them from quarreling.

'Humans? Aren't they humans?' questions upon questions filled Evie's head yet no answer.

"Shut up!" The both royals yelled at Alexa simultaneously causing her to step backwards.

"You were cursed Ezekiel, like fucking cursed!" Alice yelled at him.

"I know, that is why I am trying my best to reverse it, I lost Elijah, I can't lose Gracie to a stupid curse and please stop reminding me that I am cursed!" Ezekiel yelled back.

"What about Evie?" Alice asked, feeling all angry.

"She is just a pawn in my plan, once everything returns back to normal, I would dump her!" Ezekiel replied.

Evie felt useless at that moment, she felt like a thousand swords was piercing through her heart at the same time. She uncounciously took two steps backwards and fell the flower vase down causing a loud noise.

The noise startled all who were in the living room and they ran towards that direction only to see Evie running into her room and shutting it behind her.

"Evie!" Ezekiel called out yet no answer.

"There is a possibility that she must have heard our conversation," Alice stated.

"No, there is high possibility that she heard you guys. I warned the both of you but you guys couldn't stop arguing like kids. Have a nice day," Alexa said and dismissed herself.

"Alexa!!" Ezekiel called her name warningly.

"Sorry master but the truth is always painful," Alexa said and vanished.

"Meet me in my office now!" Alice said and disappeared. Ezekiel sighed and followed suit.
