Chapter 9: One Sided Love

The tournament has ended and winners have been awarded. Everyone left to return home and back to their normal life. All winners will be posted on GAME IT ALL website for everyone to see. Of course, having your name written in the bulletin board will add popularity to the rooms where the players belong to.

In just one event, players who won instantly became popular. I became more popular than everyone else since I'm the only one who won by default. People are curious to know whether I really have the skills to level up my ranking or I'm just lucky to have won the battle.

I don't feel comfortable with all this popularity that's why I decided to take a rest from playing. I tried to focus my time more on my work and when at home, I rest more. The event is very exhausting, especially with the side dramas that had happened.

Hindi pa rin maalis sa isip ko ang napag usapan namin ni Yujin. The term he used "Professional relationship" daig pa namin ang business associates. Sana kahit man lang kaibigan ang ituring niya sa akin at hindi parang katrabaho. I still do like him though. Should I stop liking him and give up on him? those were the thoughts that keeps on bothering me. Parang ang dali sabihin na titigil na ako pero ang hirap gawin. Hindi naman ganoon kadali pigilan ang damdamin. Hindi ko naman tinuruan at kusang ginusto ng puso ko ang magmahal. Ayan tuloy pati ako ay nasasaktan.

Isang linggo na ang lumipas mula ng huli akong bumisita sa site. Matagal na rin akong hindi nakakapaglaro sa Monkey room. I missed him so much. I missed playing with my friends and the fun and excitement I had in the room. May naghahanap kaya sa akin? Miss din kaya nila ako? Gusto ko pa sana patagaling ang pagpapa-miss ko sa kanila, kaso ako 'ata ang hindi na makatiis. I decided to return.

Upon entering, I was astounded with the big changes in the room. The capacity of players who can enter the room has increased. The room can now accommodate more players and add more members to the team. It will give us more chances of winning in the upcoming events. The themes, skins, screen, icons and menu have been upgraded too. More games had been added and upgraded. On top of that, my rank has been changed, as well as the other players who won their battles.

But of all these changes, the attitude of Yujin towards me drastically changed. Things become more awkward and more uncomfortable. I tried to act normal, but I guess it never worked. We hardly ever speak to each other. Every time I joined the game where he is playing, he simply quit the game and leave. He never did those things before, left the game without finishing it.

I really don't like this kind of feeling like he is trying to avoid me and I'm not happy with this hide-and-seek game with him. It feels like he wanted me to leave but just couldn't tell me. He became uncomfortable around each other. I decided to confront him and clear the air once and for all.

Mabilis siyang nag log-out. Siguro nga ay busy siya. Bigla kong naalala na studyante pa nga pala siya kaya malamang ay inuuna niya ang kaniyang school activities. Biglang gumaan ang pakiramdam ko sa sinabi niya at hindi naman pala totoong iniiwasan niya ako. Masyado lang siguro akong naging paranoid.

Days had passed and I've noticed that he was greeting and chatting with everybody except me. Some people actually think that we had a misunderstanding. At first, it was only me who noticed it, but since everybody in the room notice that he is avoiding me only means one thing... it must have to do with what happen in the GGC. Pakiramdam ko tuloy hindi na ako belong sa group. Daig ko pa ang may virus na nakakahawa na pinandidirian at iniiwasan niya.

Kung ipagpapatuloy niya ang ganito. Hindi ko siya aatrasan. Mas ma-attitude yata ako kaysa sa kaniya. Kilala akong rebelde at pasaway. I have no choice and there is one thing left for me to do. Challenge him in a battle.

After leaving the Monkey room, I went straight to the admin of the site and request an official announcement for my challenge to be posted on every room in CASINO ROYAL. All players will be able to read my challenge.

"LOLLIPOP hereby challenge Daredevil to an Official Battle that will be held in Monkey Room. Whoever loses will be stripped of his/her rank and will be forced to leave and transfer to another room!"

Once the official announcement has been made, it's mandatory for the player to accept the challenge. Hindi ito katulad ng hamon ni ACEof SPADE sa akin. It's more of an invitation and a friendly game than a challenge. Plus the official announcement I made is posted on the whole site, unlike the announcement of ACEofSPADE that was only posted in Monkey Room.

Everyone gathered in the Monkey room. Daig pa ang ang concert ng sikat na Korean band at laban ni Paquiao sa dami nang may gustong manood sa laban. Players from different rooms were present. Parang nag reunion ang mga chismoso at chismosa. Even Joker who wants to kick me out of the Monkey room before was there. He can't wait to witness my defeat. AceofSPADE also went there to see me and DareDevil fight against one another. He still can't get over the fact that Yujin is the one who rescued me from him. Ganito pala kadami ang taong gusto kaming pag awayin. Iyong iba mabait lang 'pag kaharap mo pero ang totoo ay naghihintay lang nang pagkakataon para makaganti sa iyo.

A lot of our team members and close friends try to stop me from my crazy challenge. Kahit sila ay nagulat sa kahibangan ko. Hindi nila sukat akalain na hahantong sa ganito ang lahat. Ang pagkakaalam nila ay malapit kami ni Yujin sa isa't isa at bali-balita sa mga chismoso at chismosa na ako ang paborito niyang newbie dahil kahit napakasuplado niya ay matyaga niya akong pinangangaralan, tinuturuan at pinoprotektahan.

Ang akala niya ang kunwari lang ang lahat at nagpapansin lang ako... totoo naman gusto ko makuha ang kaniyang atensyon. Nagtagumpay naman ako!

The battle has begun. We played poker, but it didn't last long. I never intended to win in the first place. I folded in every draw of the card. I make big bets, then decide to fold at the end. Until I run out of coins. In my mind, I will never give him the satisfaction of a good fight.

I made our match the worst and most boring fight in the history of CASINO ROYALE. I never wanted to win, I just needed an excuse to leave the room and it's the only way I could think of.

After losing the battle, I bid my goodbye to all of our members. Before I leave the room I received a private message from daredevil...

DareDevil: Crazy girl! look what you've done! Do you really hate me that much? Are you no longer happy here and you wanted to leave that badly?

LOLLIPOP: You should answer your own question. To be honest, the only reason why I came here every day is not that I love playing, but because I like you. I really do. Okay lang naman sa akin ang maging magkaibigan tayo. Tanggap ko naman na wala kang pag tingin sa akin. Pero sana naman huwag mo ako iwasan tulad ng ginagawa mo ngayon. The pain is excruciating and I can't take it anymore.

DareDevil: Don't do this we can fix this. Just give some time to figure things out. You don't have to leave the room. I'm sorry for making you feel that way.

LOLLIPOP: Don't worry I will become strong. I will train hard and next time we meet, I will challenge you again. I'll make sure I'll win. Goodbye, Yujin.

Those were my last word to him before I left the room. Hindi ako makapaniwala na nagawa kong matapat ng feelings ko sa kaniya. Siguro pakiramdam ko na ito na talaga ang huli naming pag uusap at gusto ko lang ilabas lahat ng mabigat sa aking dibdib.

That is right, I will train hard and be strong enough to beat you, Yujin. For now, it is a ONE-SIDED LOVE, but I will be back and when that happens, this I swear... I will WIN your HEART...
