Elian was pretty satisfied with how fast he was progressing with the Awakening System. What he didn't know was that the more he improved, the more he pushed Met to create new styles and skills for him to learn and improve on. And by doing this, Meta too, was constantly improving and growing beyond a normal AI.
The match was underway again, the score was 2-0 in favor of Manchester city.
PSG's coach but his finger as he assessed the field, watching the performance of his players. Something was off with the opposition team and apart from the overflowing confidence they played with, he could sense that his team was playing better over all. And that meant that he only had to lock one player out, and that was Elian.
Meanwhile, on the sidelines, Mateo was watching on, a light air around him. He was happy, not for the fact that his team had the lead but for the fact that Elian had seemingly regained his form. And for some reason, Elian was suddenly showing crazy experience for a striker, an experience even Noah didn't have, but Noah never failed to disappoint, it would be a while before he tested his suspicions by putting Elian to play as a striker.
PSG passed the ball around them, they were on full on attack now, with everyone going forward except the last defender.
The spectators started murmuring at this, finding ut uncomfortable that the defense was being left wide like that, but they couldn't blame the coach. His foresight was reasonable.
If the first half ended with a 2-0 lead, his players would have already taken the first step to losing the match, their confidence would be very low and the second half would only be easier for their opponents to take advantage of. So it would be better to take a gamble and score a goal.
Arlo steadied his gaze on the ball as it approached him, he took a step backwards and placed his foot on the ball, controlling it perfectly.
Julian immediately marked Arlo the moment he controlled the ball, he used his body to push Arlo farther and farther away from their halve. But he seemed to be getting too relaxed.
Arlo suddenly spun around, using Julian's body as a pivot to gain unnatural balance, he turned perfectly, speeding towards the opponents goal post.
Santiago quickly ran towards him, chasing him down. But Arlo didn't hold unto the ball, he quickly released it, still not slowing down at all.
Theo controlled the pass from Arlo, but he didn't know there was another entity in this same match up. There was a life AI resting in the head of their opponent. Elian quickly bodied Theo, using the element of surprise to knock Theo off the ball. He did exactly as Meta had said, everything even down to the bodying.
Theo fell heavily to the floor, causing the fans to erupt in wild shouts, blowing their own whistles and cussing at Elian.
But the referee knew better, he waved his hand to signify a no foul and he faced forward, rushing to see how the counter attack would unfold.
Elian found Noah who flicked it upwards towards Asher, setting him lose.
Asher controlled the ball and released another pass towards the other flank, where Elian was running down at high speed.
Elian controlled the ball and caused it to go inwards, but Jude was on him immediately.
Elian turned around repeatedly, dancing to an unknown music with his steps and footwork.
Jude stuck his leg towards the ball but Elian drew the ball backwards, then he used a feint to completely deceive Jude, getting past him effectively.
Jude turned around, but Elian had already gone past him. He tried to hold onto Elian, but that had zero to no effect, Elian had no intentions of holding on to the ball.
"Perfect Copy…Activate!"
"No!!"
Thud! Elian released the shot, and the moment he released the shot, he understood why Meta had shouted. But it was too late, for a moment there, he had acted faster than Meta, using his own football IQ. He had used the system on his own accord, but it was a bit pointless.
Perfect copy ran to its fullest, allowing His body to simulate the exact same movements of the tutorial in the character.
But something felt off, they were In opposite directions, he only copied the same shot, and that shot could never outdo a quality goal keeper from such a distance.
The goal keeper locked his eyes on the ball and dived, hitting the ball with a heavy punch, he sent flying right out.
Colton who was returning managed to control the ball, and without looking he kicked it far out, sending the ball flying into their opponents halve and catching everyone by surprise.
Santiago followed the ball, he positioned under it and was ready to kick back inside. But suddenly, a figure flashed in front of him and the ball disappeared with that person.
Santiago turned around immediately, his heart racing, only for him to see Arlo with the ball, his defensive teammates giving Arlo a hot chase.
But could they catch him?
