Chapter 062 Century Soup

After collecting all my things I went deeper towards the Ice Mountain to find the Gourmet Show Window in order to obtain Century Soup since the Century Soup is the melted portion of Gourmet Show Window that only occurs in a century. Finding the entrance of the cave which is used by Gourmet Noble in the past, I sensed three individual that just arrived in the Ice Hell. Two them are allied since they both are near to each other.

Duo P.O.V.

"Jiro-chan. How come theres no Tundra Dragon here?" (??????)

"Secchan Tundra Dragon maybe flying around." (Jiro)

"Hmm.." (Setsuna)

As I surveyed the area I found a herd of Freezing Bison and felt something's a miss. Jiro-chan also felt something is wrong since Freezer Bison lived in Ice Savanah which is far from here, the edge of Ice Hell. I asked Jiro-chan to capture a single Freezer Bison for our food and let the rest of the herd go.

*SNAP*

Jiro-chan approached a Freezer Bison and used Knocking on its neck paralyzing it. Seeing it's member being attacked the other member begin their preparation on charging towards Jiro-chan. Jiro-chan used Intimidation and all the Freezer Bison run away from Jiro-chan. I approached the Freezer Bison that Jiro-chan paralyzed and started my preparation for food.

Solo P.O.V.

After reaching the Ice Hell I found a Tundra Dragon flying towards me. It dived down attacking me since I intrude to it's territory. I picked the plates from my suit and attacked the Tundra Dragon.

"Plate Shuriken" (??????)

And the Tundra Dragon was cut in to pieces by the plates that I have thrown. After that I felt a strong intimidation from the East. This Intimidation is so strong that I felt that I'm no match to the one who used such Intimidation. Since my mission is to procure Century Soup I would avoid fighting at all cost.

M.C. POV

I found a cave and entered on it to search for the Gourmet Show Window, as I walked deeper I suddenly felt a strong intimidation. The intimidation is so strong that I felt it even here in the cave. I hurried my search since there's powerful individual that is also after the Century Soup. If it's an understanding person then it would be okay but if it's an enemy I would have to go all out and might destroy the Ice Hell together with the Century Soup. I continued to walk in the maze like cave for an hour and found a frozen pillar of ice that inside contained countless ingredients from long ago that were placed there by ancient Gourmet Hunters in order to keep all their food treasures preserved. The ingredients within its icy interior are made up of ancient beasts, vegetables, fruits and other delicious ingredients that have long been extinct for centuries, making it truly a site to behold. Looking at the pillar I can identify it as the Gourmet Show Window, near the Gourmet Show Window is a gigantic pale-skinned creature with a mostly irregular body shape that partially resembles that of a sauropod. It has a large growth atop its body from which many heads grow. On its front, two heads also grow, and on its backside has another head growing which serves as a tail. It has at least sixteen visible heads.

This beast was known as Ruler of Ice Hell because of being top predator in Ice Hell in ancient times. Looking at this towering beast I remembered that it fought the Emperor Insect that Tommyrod crossed breed with different sinister insects.

While waiting for the Gourmet Show Window to melt and produce Century Soup a presence came near to my location.

"Why don't you show yourself? It's pointless to hide." (Satou)

"Hoo. You noticed me? That's some skill for a weak Gourmet Hunter." (??????)

Looking at the person immerging from the dark path of the cave I saw a tall man with black hair, very pale skin and has a very large nose. Wearing two red earrings that are fashioned after kitchen tools, the one on his left ear appears to be designed to resemble a corkscrew and the one on his right appears to be designed after a bottle opener. Looking at this guy I remembered that this guy is one of the Gourmet Corp top brass which is the waiter of their boss.

'If I remember correctly his name is Alfaro. So the Gourmet Corp is aiming Century Soup huh.' (Satou)

Breaking the line of my thoughts I warned Alfaro.

"Big guy, it's better not to provoke me or else things will go ugly." (Satou)

After saying that I released a bit of Reiatsu with Intimidation.

"!!!!!" (Alfaro)

Alfaro then tooked his plates using his eight hands preparing to attacked. Seeing his action I dispersed my Intimidation and Reiatsu.

'With my warning this guy wont do stupid things.' (Satou)

Looking at the vigilant Alfaro I continued to wait for the Century Soup. The Gourmet Show Window started to melt producing drops of liquid with inticing scent. Not long after that the other two arrived; male and female. The male is tall and muscular with black hair pompadour hairstyle and goatee. While the female is short with a pink long twintail hair and wore red lipstick.

'Finally they arrived. Setsuno and Jiro. The Future Gourmet Living National Treasures and Knocking Master.' (Satou)

"Oya. Someone is already here." (Jiro)

"Hmm. I though we would be the first one to arrived." (Setsuno)

"... "(Satou)

The sound of continous dripping and inticing scent continued as time passes. When all the dripping stopped, a small pool of extremely transparent liquid is produced. This small pool is the Century Soup but it is still incomplete as it didn't gave the aurora that I remember. Setsuno tooked a cylender like container and reached out to the pool of Century Soup but I stopped her.

"Stop! The Century Soup isn't complete yet." (Satou)

"!!!!" (Jiro)

"!!!!." (Alfaro)

" Isn't complete? How so?" (Setsuno)

"The legendary Century Soup is exactly transparent as this one. However the complete Century Soup produces an aurora ." (Satou)

"How do you know?" (Setsuno)

"Trade secret." (Satou)

"So what should be done to complete this soup." (Setsuno)

"Simple." (Satou)

I tooked a bottle containing the saliva of Wall Penguin from Inventory and put a single drop of it in the pool of incomplete Century Soup.

*DRIP*

And then an aurora came from the pool. Looking at the scene the other three was shocked.

"I thought that it was just a legend that Century Soup produces an aurora." (Jiro)

"We're the same Jiro-chan." (Setsuno)

"!!!!!!" (Alfaro)

"Now that its complete we should spit it ourselves." (Satou)

Jiro and Setsuno looked each other before giving a nod. I didn't care about Alfaro's consent and collected a few liters. Jiro and Setsuno didn't mind the amount I collected.

Setsuno asked me about the thing I put on the imcomplete Century Soup but I refused to reveal it instead I said.

"Since you seem to be a cook. Shouldn't you the one to discover it yourself?" (Satou)

".." (Setsuno)

Hearing my answer she thought it deeply before nodding as accepting it as a challenge from me. After all of us collected our respected part of Century Soup we part ways except of Alfaro who is right now blocking my way.

"Give me the Century Soup and follow me to our base or youll never leave this place alive." (Alfaro)

"I have warned you spider boy to not provoke me. It seems like I have to teach you a leason." (Satou)

As I said that I drawn my sword and pointed at him. He released Intimidation towards me but I wasn't affected by it. He then jump a few meters before atacking.

"Plate Shuriken" (Alfaro)

Eight plates flew with an incredible speed towards me. I dodge all of them and started breaking each plate one by one until all the plates are broken.

"Impossible." (Alfaro)

I looked at him then pointed my sword towards him and said.

"Embodiment: Shinso"

Percieving the danger Alfaro jump to the right. Too bad Shinso's extention speed was to fast to dodge.

As he moved to dodge one of his right hands got hit by the extending blade and was cut off. Shocked from the attacked his face showed extreme fear while holding the right arm that was cut off.

"See. Things get ugly when you don't heed warnings." (Satou)

"....." (Alfaro)

"It's better you dont provoke me again or else not only an arm but your whole body would be split in to two." (Satou)

Hearing my word Alfaro's face became uglier, he then took the fallen right arm and departed.
