Chapter one

Alysa's POV.

I'm an adopted, but cherished child.

My eyes were the best features I admired in myself. With my bright hazel eyes and honey blonde hair, I couldn't stand in a crowd unnoticed. I don't know much about my family.

Jessica was my Foster Mother. She was blessed with a good heart. She usually called me her princess, I acted like one. I wondered why I was so special.

I missed her soft voices when she spoke to me and her ocean eyes when she looked at me.

She was almost perfect in all acquired features.

I wish I could be her.

I couldn't be the black sheep, all because of her. I was loved and she lived with a full heart and soul.

I was quite attached to Jessica, I loved her a lot and cherished everything I ever got from Jessica. Her energy gave me everything.

I'm back to the Tribe of Bansta even when I feel a lot of arrows are after me.

I continued running away from Jeremy for good three years. I had to go back to my hometown. I feel no one would recognise me after three years.

I disliked Jeremy. He was the all-time heir of the Tribe of Bansta—The beautiful Tribe of beauty. He was my Mother's brother.

I have never had any opportunity to be close to him. I don't ever want to be close to him.

I was the lost cat, without a bag.

In the tribe Bansta, everything went smoothly in the evening—the sidewalks, breeze, and the large screen that caught everyone's attention just at arrival. It usually displays adverts and most importantly the best of parts in the Tribe of Bansta.

Today was exceptionally different. The large screen displayed a search notice which was very striking to one's eye.

The Alpha of Tribe Anastia is looking for Alysa.

"I'm Jeremy, I'm looking for Alysa, my sweetheart, any findings related to her would be greatly appreciated.

My picture was displayed on the screen, the message was below it. The picture was taken three years ago for sure.

The shaking heads among the crowds sent a different message—like it has been seen before. It turned out that Jeremy, The respected but stranded lover has been looking for me. Jeremy stalked my environment and mailbox after he got findings that I have been seen in the tribe of Bansta. I was beautifully asked to return home, but all his efforts flew like dust away from the flat surface.

I was missing from the Tribe of Bansta for good three years. I was stalked most times by Jeremy but I didn't care. If I did, I would not have worked close to the big screen where information was always displayed.

I had this terrible feeling he was nearby, I really did. I ignored it. I guess I was tired from running.

Three groups of ladies passed by and paid swift attention to the large screen. The lady in the middle said as she hovered her pity on the whole matter.

"Oh, his little sweet heart is somewhat stubborn." One of them said, as they continued walking.

"That Alpha is really forcing his way in this girl." The other gave a reply.

"I mean, it's been three good years and one is still deeply stuck in such a search, huh!" Another girl added as they passed-by. I felt like interrupting them.

He was serious about finding me, to get what he wanted but discouragement had the better part of him this time around. I see him sometimes, but he doesn't see me.

The last time I saw him, the change of looks on his face was like the change was sure like a weather change—All his confidence died off.

Maybe, he won't ever bother looking for me again.

Coincidence and polarities.

Just at that moment, I was finished with my work. I packed my bag to leave the office. I work close to the Street where the large screen was located. Who could have known? Such a truth under my nose!

I placed my shoulder bag in my hand, I took it one step at a time.

I took wide steps towards the taxi packed in front of the building. I saw my taxi and at that same moment, I saw the large screen—It was my picture. It was an old picture. I removed my phone and pulled down my hat immediately. I pulled it enough to cover my head and face—one quarter of my face to remain unknown .

I placed my silent phone by my ear. I acted like one having a serious conversation over the phone while giving my driver some sort of eye language as I entered the car quickly.

"Hey! Let's move away from here, I don't want to be seen." I said with a shaky voice.

"I'm on it, Ma'am," The driver responded.

Five minutes into the drive, the driver realized they'd been followed by another vehicle.

"The black vehicle has been following us for a while now." The driver said.

I turned immediately to look, my hat fell off. I was scared. I wish I paid attention to my feelings earlier.

"Turn the next road two times and if they are still following, we gotta do something quick."

I said while trying to get a hold of my phone.

"I hope you're not worried." The driver said in a concerned manner.

"Why don't you want to be seen?" The driver asked.

"Did you see that big screen?

"Yes! I know you did!" I asked and answered.

I didn't give the driver the chance to respond.

"Well, that's me on the screen. I was eighteen years old back then." I said randomly.

"But ma'am, did you ever cause any trouble?

The driver became curious.

"It's becoming difficult to get rid of the car following us." My heart started pounding.

The driver added after taking more than two swift turns without any direction. He became overworked. I started begging him to please take my matter seriously even though it looked like I was being a distraction.

Some minutes into the drive and after the driver took more than two swift turns into unknown roads, he started complaining.
