Arthur took a deep breath and immediately assessed the situation through his eyes and senses. This battle was somewhat isolated, with the dark creatures fighting against other groups of students.

'Good, we won't be attacked by surprise,' Arthur assessed. Of course, in that fraction of a second, he'd also checked for anomalies in his perception to make sure harrowing creatures like the Sonar Ape he fought the last time he was here weren't lurking in the shadows.

He turned his attention inward and surveyed the battlefield he'd led his squadmates onto. As expected, the second-years were standing their ground quite nicely.

They were already dealing with the creatures in an odd but effective formation. Arthur noticed how the only hunter with a shield kept his attention trained on the large creature whilst everyone else got to work decimating the smaller weaker creatures.
