Arthur gritted his teeth and squeezed his eyes shut, suppressing the pain that shot through several parts of his body, most of which he'd given up on identifying. He could also tell that there were several broken bones as well though he didn't think to count.
He'd bled both internally and externally. Fortunately for him, wounds were trivial matters that easily stopped bleeding. This didn't take away the world of pain he was currently in but it reduced his chances of bleeding out.
That is… if the kaiju above him did not choose to finish the job.
Arthur had been tortured a great number of ways in his long life… but never had there been an intention to snuff out his core.
Most of this torture came from his father forcing him to learn how to suppress his flame core, lessons that now came screaming back into his mind.
