Several moments later, Arthur was walking to a peculiar shelter built into the robust three-metre-high cobblestone wall surrounding the Phoenix Castle.
The sturdy building—like the wall—made with rich grey cobblestone was one of the Phoenix Warrior outposts, specifically at the Northern part of the perimeter wall.
Not far beside it was a large imposing black gate with rusty hinges from a lack of oiling and use.
This shelter was more like a checkout point for recording what the gate was being opened for, when and validating by whose authority the gate was being opened.
And despite its relatively small size, the shelter was used for much more than rudimentary check-ins.
By calling it a Warrior Outpost, it was known more for security-related reasons than merely checking out woodsmen.
It also served as a storage for battle equipment, allowing quick retrieval of the required weapons and as a resting point for phoenixes on patrol.
