Alexander observed Astra gazing out the car window and decided to strike up a conversation, asking, "How was your day?"
Astra replied with a simple, "Good."
Curious to know if anything significant had occurred, Alexander inquired, "Did something important happen?"
Astra murmured, "Not really."
He couldn't help but feel a bit frustrated that Astra hadn't shared as much with him as she had with his father.
Alexander then questioned, "I thought you wanted us to reconnect? Are you upset with me?"
Astra turned to him and responded, "Not everything revolves around you, Lex."
Afterward, she returned her focus to the scenery outside. Alexander turned her towards him and locked eyes, asking, "Did something happen at work?"
Astra's eyes welled up with moisture, and she gave a subtle shake of her head. At that moment, Alexander could sense that something was indeed bothering her.
