CHAPTER 4

"You..." She stuttered, looking at the burnt hole in the white wall. She moved slowly to the wall, her lips trembled as she thought of what to say.

What could she possibly say? Her best friend whom she had known all her life just burnt a hole through her wall using her hands... HER HANDS.. she should run, right?. The room carried a choking smell, she reached out her hands and slowly caressed the wall with her fingers, examining it.

She turned back to look at Paisley. Her eyes held questions, Paisley stretched her hands repeating her actions, and another hole appeared on the wall.

"I will explain." She said to the baffled girl. With a pull, they sat on the sofa.

"what you saw just now is one of my powers, I have others." Paisley fiddled with her fingers as she explained. Although she had mentally prepared herself for this day, she was still not very ready.

"You're not human?" "I am" Paisley replied, laughing. Her loud laughter filled the room. Easing up the stiff room a bit

"I just have powers... mystical powers." she continued. "I belong to the martial arts sect, Aiyo, my family is a big deal, and you also have powers" she added leading the conversation back to Phoenix, she took Phoenix's hands and covered it in her palm.

" Although I don't know what type of powers you have, I will take you to get answers. But promise me you won't tell anybody about this?" She added "Get up, get up let's go. We still need to go to school. Now that my phone is bad we will share yours. Okayy??" Paisley said standing up, and pulling Phoenix before she could argue or ask further questions. They packed up and finally left for school.

In the clear and bright sky, lightning made itself known. Paisley paused and looked at the sky, she frowned. The sky had streaks of purple lightning, odd... It was 4:00 p.m., and they walked in the scorching heat to the apartment district.

After a long day, all they wanted to do was lay under the air conditioner eating juicy watermelons to cool off. out of the corner of her eyes, she saw two figures hiding sneakily behind the apartment building just by the official entrance. They seemed to have noticed her as they hid quickly. She could still feel a dark aura coming from their direction.

'What's wrong?" Phoenix turned back and asked. ''Is there anything there" she asked again

"no nothing let's go." shaking her head, they turned around and continued walking in. *MURDER* She could feel a murderous aura around them. She squeezed her palms together, looking around, ready to counterattack whatever it was.

She looked at the spot where she saw the suspicious people hiding before but saw nothing. Nevertheless, she could not let her guard down especially now Phoenix's powers had started to show. With that thought, she called out to Phoenix and ordered her to go up, giving a flimsy excuse.

"come out" she called out to no one in particular. Two young men walked out, the first {Grimm} was tall and muscular. He had a low red buzz making him look fierce.

The other {Zayn} was a stark contrast. He was tall and lean, he looked clean and innocent despite his red hair. His cheeky smile told her he was stronger than he looked. He may be stronger than the other guy.

'great, just one day and a lot has happened. They are quite well informed.' she thought to herself. "Don't you think it's rude staring at innocent people like that?'' she asked them,

"You know better than us how innocent you are" they mocked, smirking evilly. The lean one raised his sleeves, showing her his arm from the distance.

"an aphrodite?" She asked, seeing the red 'A" mark on his arm, used in identifying Arodites back in Athenia. The Arodite sect is one of the most powerful sects in Athenia. They controlled natural forces. Unfortunately, they broke in half. Half of them were swayed by greed and betrayed Athenia.

They must be the stay ones who went astray and betrayed us. With that in mind, she secretly set up an Array, blocking outsiders from seeing them. Fire shot out of her right hand at them. She made the first move, catching them off guard. They leaped in different directions. Grimm gave her an evil smirk. The look on his face revealed his lack of interest in fighting her. In his eyes, she was weak, unworthy to fight with him. Zayn did not think like that, he fought whoever attacked him. He sent lightning at her, burning her shoulder.
