Regretful Death

"Why did I end up like this" Eric thought lying on the ground as blood flowed from various parts of his body and his consciousness was slowly fading.

He saw both the truck driver and the boys who pushed him into the road running away while leaving him helpless as death slowly grasped him.

He recalled how terrible his life had been from being abandoned by his at the orphanage age of 5 to how he was adopted by a family who treated him like a slave, his father who beats him harshly for the slightest mistake and his mother who took him to her friends how to work, some of her friends even molested him therefore making him loose his virginity early.

His life was better in school, he had a friend named Mark who treated him better than the other students and teachers which majority despised him for being a weak helpless orphan. One day while going for a bathroom break he met a beautiful girl named Jennifer who he picked interest in, and after a few weeks of hanging out together he asked her to be his girlfriend which she joyfully accepted, that made him extremely excited because life had started to go in his favor.

At least that was what he thought, until he caught Jennifer cheating on him with Mark when he went to visit him, it pained him a lot as he felt his whole world crumble, he asked her why she did this to him but she laughed and responded that he was to weak and poor to take care of her. He left quietly as there was nothing he could do.

From that day on Mark had done his best to make life difficult for him, until now that his own best friend had pushed him in front of a truck and left him to die.

He wished life could have been different, he imagined if his parents had not abandoned him maybe he would have had good friends, a real family

Eric prayed in his mind if there was a god out there he should granted a second chance to live life to the fullest, this were his last thoughts before his consciousness faded and everywhere became pitch black.
