She didn't expect an answer from Nico, and she didn't expect for the black haired girl to remain silent after her question. Instead she continued to stare into her half empty plate of food, waiting for Nico to give her an answer.

"Nothing that you would approve of," answered the latter finally. She turned towards Annabeth, a slight smirk on her face. "So, what are you planning to do during lunch break?" She changed the subject, trying to get rid of whatever awkward silence had settled in between them.

A wide grin spread across Annabeth's lips as she replied in reply. "Well, since I'm a first year student, I am free to explore the school grounds as much as I want." She paused for a bit before she added in a slightly nervous voice: "Although, I don't want to leave you alone for too long. Just stay close, okay? You shouldn't wander off on your own if you don't know where the main buildings are or what the layout is like. You might get lost. Or kidnapped by some lunatic who likes kidnapping first years."

Nico stared at her, raising an eyebrow skeptically. "I guess I can agree to all those conditions," she replied sarcastically.

At this point, Nico knew that Annabeth would never harm her physically or verbally unless she truly had to. Even if her girlfriend made her incredibly angry, she also had a very strong moral compass that allowed her to choose to stand by her decisions and not do anything drastic.

However, that doesn't mean that Nico couldn't get a bit more annoyed at Annabeth occasionally for being a pain in the ass sometimes. Especially when she made a sarcastic comment like that one. Not because she particularly disliked Annabeth, but because of how easily annoyed Nico could get with certain people. For example, Percy, Piper and Jason. Sure, Percy seemed pretty nice, especially when Nico first met him, but the son of Poseidon was constantly trying to annoy or annoy Nico. She could barely tolerate it for a couple of hours before she snapped at him and ended the conversation completely.

Nico had yet to forgive Piper or Jason for their actions against her, despite the fact that she knew that they hadn't meant anything bad. Plus, she was convinced that it had been Jason's idea in the first place. It was his turn to clean the toilets and they were both the ones who volunteered to do it. He was the one who suggested it to Nico, and he even offered to help her do it later that day. It must have been Jason's fault that he somehow managed to mess up her makeup on purpose during dinner.

Of course, it also might have also been Jason's fault that she ended up having to wear makeup the next day. But still, it was definitely Jason's fault.

Anyways, she needed to get over the petty grudges she held towards the trio. There was no way around it; she just couldn't stop thinking about them, and although there was one thing that she would definitely miss about them (and this one thing did involve Annabeth) the fact remained that she was never gonna see any of them again. So she decided that she was going to enjoy her last two weeks at camp with her friends as much as she possibly could. She figured she had enough fun with Annabeth and Reyna, anyway, so she had no intentions of spoiling herself by spending her entire summer at Camp Half Blood.

Plus, it wasn't like she really needed anyone to spend her summers with anyways. She could spend her whole summer by herself. She could live on her own.

In the end, however, Nico wasn't sure that she could handle being on her own for three months without Annabeth by her side. That would be extremely painful and lonely. No offense, Annabeth.
