Chapter 16: Tasting Misery

Cherry Heaven Realm was previously known as Fire Heaven Realm. Just because of the woman the King loved, he changed the whole Realm's name. One can understand his grief and the hatred etched in Cherry Heaven Family member's heart.

We were right now already sealed from outside contact, unless someone help us, we were doomed. But in this lawless land, who will help us? No one!

"Hehe... finally I will be able to taste the flesh of Cherry Heaven Family members, and its princesses to boot. We are so lucky." One of the woman sneered. Just by the amount of hatred in her eyes, I could tell she had lost someone in that pyro-massacre.

And yes, their hatred was only growing with time. Some from each side had even started to eat flesh of captured or killed. This was honestly sickening but Gods Realm was not a forgiving place, it was immeasurably more crueler and merciless than my previous world.

"Wait girl, how about you let us have the taste of their flesh first? Especially that cold and strong one is mine." A man who was continuously leering at Zongying laughed loudly. Everyone understood what kind of flesh is he talking about.

"Then that soft looking one is mine." Another man said, pointing towards Xiurong like he was putting dibs on food.

"As for the boy... "

"I want him. He isn't from Cherry Heaven Realm, I wanted a handsome boy toy anyway." One of the girl said quickly before anyone put their dibs on me.

Xiurong and Zongying face was the frostiest I have ever seen.

"Wait, before you guys start fighting, we need to take care of them. " As if finally remembering out existence, one of the guys exclaimed.

Zongying wasn't just wasting time listening to their bullshit, she had already assembled her attack. Without warning, she waved her hands towards the group. Six monstrously big pillars of ice instantly materialised in thin air, and it zoomed towards the startled group.

Swoosh!

Whizzling through the air, the ice pillars crashed against them. Five of them were able to create barrier quick enough to block the attack but one of them was a tad bit too late. The Ice pillar crashed onto one of the guys, making a mince meat out of him.

"Bitch!"

"Kill her!"

Instantly, all of them were engaged, the playfulness receded into cold daggers. Yelling out, all five of them started attacking Zongying altogether.

"Pay for killing our brother."

A sword radiating with malignant bright-green Qi cleaved towards her, just missing her body by inches. It was Poison Qi.

Probably because she was dividing her attention to protect us too, her movement were sluggish. Within few minutes, her body already had several cuts, blood leaked down on her fair body.

One of the opponents recited some obscure words and the silhouette of a ferocious snake appeared in front of our eyes. It flew around in air before racing down towards Zongying with open mouth. Zongying, in response raised her sword, a ball of Ice Qi quickly condensed at the tip as it blasted off in spiralling motion. The snake ate the incoming ball of Ice Qi but next moment, the ball exploded and spiked into his insides, killing it.

Xiurong and I couldn't do anything but grit our teeth and sit back. The battle between Immortal Kings was not something some 3rd and 5th Level Qi Assimilation Realm cultivator could withstand. The moment we were out of her protective shield, just the sheer shock wave of their battle would cut us in half.

We watched as those five ruthlessly continued their attacks, new wounds appearing on her bodies every second. Suddenly I felt a shivering body leaning against me, wet sensation appearing on my back consequently. "Help her..."

My heart throbbed listening to her breaking voice, fists tightened until blood came out, but there was nothing I could do. Never did I felt someone useless. Not even when I was called trash by my parents.

Crash!

Zongying body flew onto the shield she had created for us, breaking it apart. I caught her, the blood that has already covered every inch of her body smeared onto mine too.

"That's the end! We could have let you leave but after your killed our brother, nothing can save you." One of the remaining guys was creating his attack, seven colossal balls of Water Qi floated in air.

But before he launched it, the other one, who earlier said that he wanted Xiurong began with a wretched smile, "actually, we could let you live." Pointing at Xiurong he laughed, "if only you could come here naked and serve us both."

"That's a good idea. Haha!"

"Do it, show how much skill does youngest princess of Cherry Heaven Realm possess."

Xiurong body shuddered in humiliation but her eyes showed no fear. I said nothing, I had no right to. "Don't. We can die, not be humiliated." Before she made up her mind, Zongying said in weak frosty tone, waking up Xiurong from despairing state.

"I am sorry..." I said. I felt miserable.

"Its alright." Xiruong cupped my face and gave a peck with tears running down her eyes. I silently sweared that if I survive today, I will never let these two get hurt again.

"Humph. Refusing a toast only to drink a forfeit." One of the girl snorted in disdain. All of them stretched their hands, Qi pouring incessantly into their respective attacks. The sky was filled with monstrously powerful attacks, each enough to kills us millions of time over.

I closed my eyes begrudgingly. Was this the end?
