Tamim's gut feeling

It was the week of mid term exams.

The evil mastermind had been grinning the whole day.

When Tamim spotted Kinah staring at her weirdly and smiling talking to Tasha. She knew something was wrong, she was sure she was plotting something.

Or maybe she was just imagining things.

After the second paper there was a break, Kinah approached Tamim who was arguing with her classmates about the answers of the test.

"Hi, can I speak to you for a sec?" Kinah asked.

All eyes were on her and everyone knew it had began.

Tamim felt a weird surge of electricity pass through her.

That's not a good omen, Tamim thought.

"Um sure" Tamim replied.

She drew her to one corner and as Tamim followed everyone kept staring, so Tamim was at alert.

"Um, hi" Kinah said pretending to be hesitant.

But Tamim had done this countless of times, at the balls she attended, the gatherings she was forced to go to, events...

She had grown accustomed to seeing what a person's true intent was from their eyes.

Too bad, Kinah could only act with her body but can not act with her eyes.

To Tamim, her eyes showed excitement which made Tamim curious about it so she decided to play along.

"Um, I don't understand something about physics and we have it as a test tomorrow, can you stay back for a while after school and um help?" Kinah said meekly, looking at the ground.

"Hm sure, why not" Tamim answered.

"You should rethink this, I knew you would say no. Wait did you say yes?" Kinah raised her head up unsure if she heard the girl right.

"I said yes" Tamim said.

"Wow, I like you. Others wouldn't have helped because they are scared of me and I don't know why. Thank you. I'm sure you see me as a rival but you still decided to help. Thank you." Kinah said smiling evilly.

" I don't see you as a rival except you see me as one plus why won't I help you. I help our other classmates it's no biggie. Bye I gotta go. See you after school" Tamim said before leaving for her classroom.

"Aww she's nice" Kinah said after Tam was gone as she chewed on one of her acrylic nails, "too bad, being too nice gets you in trouble".

Tamim texted her husband she'll be coming in late as she had tutor her classmate, she thought of telling him about who the person was but she changed her mind she could handle it.

Before the break was over, Ann who was just coming back from the 'cafeteria' whom Tam had asked to get something for both of them came by empty handed after 20 minutes.

"Where are the stuffs?" Tamim asked confused.

"What stuff?" A puzzled Ann asked as they strolled back into their classes.

"The snacks you went to get at the cafeteria"

"I was supposed to go to the cafeteria?"

"Yes! Jeez where then did you go?!"

"I was walking when I saw Jim..." Ann's word were uncompleted as she was interrupted by Tam.

"Oh nevermind. I understand what could have happened as you even forget where you were going to"
