Behind the Scenes

The smirk never left his face after he said those words the group remained silent knowing their boss has more things to say.

"As you all may know, everyone expects our company to blow away their expectations and so that's what we're going to do" Mr. King said his voice is stern and full of determination.

"This year's album will be the biggest out of all and I will be expecting everyone to give their blood, sweat and tears into it! especially you two..." the two main singers perks up after hearing their names, Danny snickers quietly earning a side glare from James and a slap to the arm by Ms. Barnes.

"You two are THE stars of this album. You'll be working twice as hard to make it successful and the top of the top out there" He looks at the two teens with crossed arms. "I trust the both of you to give it your all and raise my expectations as well while working on it" Mr. King said.

"Yes sir!" the two replied with their own determination and a smile was replaced from the serious face of their boss.

"Let's do our best!" Mr. King stated Danny fist bumps the air as he exclaims a yeah, Sunny grins and nods her head enthusiastically as she is hype with her own excitement, Ms. Barnes gives an eye closed smile and claps in agreement/excitement. "Alright, Ms. Barnes could you give us the run down of the schedule during these two months for the album" Mr. King looks at the woman as she gives a nod back before clearing her throat.

"Right this two months schedule will be hectic unlike our daily schedules---" "No difference" Danny accidentally mumbles loudly cutting off Ms. Barnes.

The group stares at him with deadpanned expressions Danny senses the silence and the stares upon looking up he gives a confused look at them "What?". "...As I was saying we'll be busier than usual: the first week will be preparations and tests for the songs and tracks, second week will be practices" Ms. Barnes reads of from the papers in her hands as everyone pays close attention...well mostly everyone.

After more explanations and brief chatting here and there Mr. King announced that their meeting is officially over.

"Sir you have another meeting in two hours with the production staff and the team" Ms. Barnes informed now standing beside him. "Okay, I'll see you all later" he says before turning to Melody and kissed her forehead, she smiling back at him, and then the two adults left the room. "Whew I thought it would never end" Danny exasperates while flopping onto the sofa where Ms. Barnes once sat on, the girls giggle and James just rolled his eyes Sunny gets up momentarily then goes to the water dispenser next to the two doors in the room.

James notices the empty space beside him before glancing over to Melody who is still standing "...Hey are you going to stand there or are you going to sit down" he says a bit harshly with a light blush coming across his face as he looks away.

Melody smiles at him making his blush redder even more she thanks him while sitting beside him, "Thank you and good morning James" she greets chirply "Yeah you too" he greets back glancing at her as he did. Danny watches the scene right in front of him before locking eyes with the other male and then giving him a 'really' look.

James just shrugs back making him internally face-palm, it has been a few years since they started working together and became friends it was a bit awkward at first(especially for Danny) since James wanted to keep things professional between him and Danny and the other employees who work in the company. But after a few encounters and pranks here and there they eventually became close, though it's a wonder to Danny how Melody never picked up on James's feelings towards her. I mean like nearly the whole company knows about his feelings towards her especially Mr. King A.K.A Melody's dad but he was sure he doesn't believe it. When you work in a company this big rumors and gossip spread out like wildfire that sometimes its hard to keep track of them.

"So...Melody how was your been going?" Danny decided to start up a conversation.

"It's been fine so far, how about you guys?" Melody asks back.

"Mines been chilling" Danny said as he leans back on the sofa.

"It's good..." James replies while crossing his leg over the other "Had to drive Tiffany to school earlier" James adds as he looks at her "Oh it's been a while actually since I last spoke to her, how is she?" Melody asks, a smile still on her face making James smile a small smile too. "She's fine though she wanted me to tell you about..."Gal Night" or something..." his eyes knitted in confusion but the smile on Melody's face grew more and maybe erupted butterflies in his stomach.

"Gal Night! Yeah I nearly forgotten about that" she says her eyes sparkling in glee.

"What is that exactly?" James ask.

"It's what we just call our sleepovers every Friday" Melody says.

"How come we're not invited?!" Danny interjected now pouting with small glare.

"Either its because "Gal Night" is for girls only or sometimes we have it in my house" Melody sarcastically says before laughing at Danny's reaction, he goes back to leaning back on the couch while muttering under his breath, James tries to hide his own laughter behind his hand and once they cooled down from their laughing fit they continue to converse with one another with the occasional puns from Danny.

Sunny makes her way back to the group before taking a seat next to Danny, "Hey Sunny how's your day been going" she looks up at the black haired male due to their height difference even when they're sitting.

"Good" was all she said with a smile before going back to her water.

Sometimes Danny also wonders why Sunny doesn't talk to much or why she just doesn't wanna talk much AND maybe even wonders if she's going to kill him in his sleep
