Chapter 44: father son reunion

Appearing after the black thunder was a figure of a young man. With long and unkempt hair being swayed by the wind he stood there in mid-air looking at the Olympians with empty gaze.

"Teacher." He spoke and looked at Susanoo. The latter breathed a sigh of relief and said.

"About damn time you arrive. How's Kronos?" He asked.

"Gone."

"Into oblivion?" Susanoo asked.

"…" Marcus nodded.

"How bout a little help, I'm having quite some hard time here." He said and Marcus only flew closer to him.

Zeus recognized this boy. Shock was evident on his face when he saw him, his mouth shivered as he slowly conjured a sentence.

"Marcus? Is that you?" Zeus asked.

"Zeus. Or should I say father. Yes, it's indeed me." Marcus replied to the latter which made Zeus clench his teeth.

After grief struck Zeus, later came anger.

"Why?" He shouted and the world litted up. His body transformed into pure lightning, he unleashed his divine form.

"Why have you come here to Olympus with another pantheon's army!?" He roared releasing arcs of lightning all around the surrounding area.

"That question doesn't really sound so smart father." Marcus said.

It was obvious why there is another Pantheon's army in Olympus with a rogue Olympian in the lead. Of course it was a coup d'etat.

"Your mother would be dissapointed." Zeus said like a father, something he doesn't have the right to.

"Shockers." Marcus exclaimed monochromely.

"You would be surprise the reason why I'm here in the first place is because of that women." Marcus said.

Zeus was confused by Marcus' words, the Sera he knew was dead, she died giving birth to Marcus.

"Impossible! She's dead!" Zeus shouted.

"Technically." Marcus said.

"I'm not in the mood to explain father, why don't we just get this over with?"

"You! You impudent child!" Zeus isn't really the greatest when it comes to patient and he isn't really good with controlling his emotion.

Lightning splurged from his body litting up the sky in a thunderous manner. It shook the earth, intimidating the mortals beneath, it was as if apocalypse itself is happening.

Marcus looked at the sheer power his father exuded and a certain thought came in mind.

'How… surprisingly weak?'

Marcus used to look up to the legends of Zeus his father. The king of the gods who slayed the lord of titans and brought the age of gods and also ending the age of titans.

By that fancy description alone you could say that Zeus is strong, not just strong but godly strong. But now looking at this Marcus just could'nt help but see this display as a mere tantrum from his father.

'How childish.' Marcus thought.

Susanoo took a glance at Marcus, and he can't help but sigh. He didn't why or how but suddenly his disciple completely changed. Not only in personality but also in power.

It would be shameful to admit it but Marcus is vastly stronger than him, even though he's the teacher here and Marcus is the disciple.

"HAHAHAHAHA! What a fiery young man father!" Ares bellowed in the background.

"Shut up!" Zeus glared at Ares which made the other fold but an amused smile remains.

"As your father I'll have to discipline you, you ungrateful little child!" Then with a thundering fury Zeus hurled his magnificent Master Bolt at his son.

Followed by the lightning is the roar of thunder. Normally any being would shit their pants when they see the literal strongest weapon in the universe but Marcus' reaction wasn't really that intense.

Even with such world destroying weapon coming after him his face remained neutral and unimpressed.

Then as it approach he transformed into lightning and dodged the lightning.

Impressed his father said. "You've learned a thing or two."

Marcus shrugged and once again tilted his head subtly evading a golden arrow that came out of nowhere.

"Apollo you're awake at last." Ares said to Apollo who had his bow ready and aimed at Marcus.

"I wouldn't miss a party would I?" He jokingly said and Dionysus interfered.

"That's my turf, keep out."

"I wouldn't joke around if I were you people." Susanoo said from the sideline.

From the looks of it Marcus isn't really amused either. Only an everpresent blank expression remained.

Seeing that one by one the gods are recovering Susanoo asked his disciple worriedly.

"Marcus they are sprouting one by one are you sure you can still handle it?" He said to his student.

"That's not what you should be worrying about, teacher."

"You should worry about where you would put their corpse once this is done." Cold and chilling. Such tone should not come out of a child's mouth, especially someone as young as Marcus but the truth was undeniable.

He pointed his palm at Athena and from his palm dark lightning crackled and crawled. Then like a fucking river upsurging the innocent village by the riverside it came out and splurge in straight line.

"What in the—-" She can't even finish her words as the dark ominous lightning was already at her face.

She immediately erected a golden barrier to block the attack and thank the gods it blocked it but her shield was shattered effortlessly.

Without even a second thought Marcus again shot another lightning and this time it shot her right in the chest and sent her flying down hudson river.

It was shocking to see a god be shutted down by a mortal. There was a mix of pride and shock in Zeus, he knew the stories of his son being talented and besting a god but to see it with his eyes.

'Give him some more years and he'll be a god.' Ares thought which made him a bit excited. Before he could even conjure another thought Marcus once again flung another lightning towards Ares.

Ares swiped his flaming sword towards the lightning but even though he managed to hit and block it he was pushed down the river the same as Athena.

"Father, we might be in some trouble." Apollo said worriedly.
