In the depths of Olympus, the forge crackled with the sound of molten metal, casting an orange glow over the stone walls. Hephaestus, the god of the forge, stood amidst the heat and flame, hammering away at something intricate, something meant to change the course of fate. His appearance, rugged and battle-worn, spoke of resilience. His legs, scarred and damaged from ages past, were supported by advanced prosthetics—a blend of divine craft and futuristic design.
Hephaestus' eyes never left the piece he was working on as his gruff voice broke the silence. "You owe us for this, Aphrodite. Me and Ares both."
Nearby, leaning casually against the wall, stood Ares, the god of war. He looked every bit the warrior—his black leather jacket slightly worn, his dark hair tousled, and an eagle perched on his broad shoulder, watching the scene unfold. He adjusted his sunglasses, giving Aphrodite a sharp look.
"Yeah," Ares chimed in, his voice rough and commanding, "You owe us big time for this Aphrodite or should I say Yuki?"
Across from them stood Aphrodite, her form radiant and ethereal. Her once flawless appearance had shifted slightly, her long orange hair cascading down her back, glowing softly in the dim light. Two orange wings spread gracefully behind her, giving her an aura of warmth and passion. Her red nails glinted in the firelight, and her white robes shimmered like silk in the heat. Around her, small, heart-shaped objects floated gently in a perfect circle, symbols of the power she wielded as the goddess of love.
She regarded them both, her expression composed yet serious. "Hikari," she began, her voice soft but steady, "is as much your son as he is mine."
Hephaestus paused for a moment, looking up from his work, his brow furrowed. Ares, however, scoffed, stepping forward, his eyes blazing with a mixture of pride and irritation.
"Yeah, but he's more than just our kid. The boy's got a destiny tied to more than just love and war. You kept him hidden all these years, and now it's coming back to us."
Aphrodite's wings fluttered slightly as she sighed, her gaze drifting toward the piece Hephaestus was crafting—a glimmering, beautifully ornate object, as yet unfinished. It was meant for Hikari. She knew that his journey was about to become far more complicated.
"I hid him because it was the only way to protect him," Aphrodite replied, her voice laced with concern. "Hikari is special—he has parts of all three of us in him. His path isn't just about his parentage, it's about balance. Love, creation, and war—those are the forces that define him."
Ares crossed his arms, clearly not entirely pleased with that reasoning. "Balance, huh? Let's hope the kid's ready for what's coming. You can't shield him from everything, Aphrodite."
Hephaestus nodded, wiping the sweat from his brow. "I've been working on something for him—something that'll help him handle it. But even the best tools won't be enough if he doesn't know how to use them."
Aphrodite's eyes softened as she looked at the two gods who had helped bring Hikari into the world, despite their often stormy relationship. "I never expected you two to understand fully, but thank you. You've done more for him than you know."
Hephaestus gave a brief nod, his hands already back at work on the creation. Ares, though still gruff, let a small smirk slip through. "Don't get all sentimental on us, Yuki. The kid's still got a lot to learn."
Aphrodite smiled softly, but there was an underlying tension in her gaze. Hikari's future was uncertain, and the forces at play were far larger than any of them could predict.
"He'll learn," Aphrodite said, her voice tinged with both hope and resolve. "He'll have to."
Ares smirked as he watched the weapon in Hephaestus' forge shift, transforming from an ornate and imposing weapon into something far more discreet—a simple watch, sleek and silver, its face glimmering with hidden power. He reached out and held it up, turning it over in his hand, the weight far lighter than one would expect from a tool of such destructive potential.
"This is going to be one hell of a weapon," Ares remarked, his voice filled with anticipation. He eyed the craftsmanship, impressed despite himself.
But as he stared at the watch, a thought crossed his mind, and his smirk faded into something more calculating. He turned to Aphrodite, raising an eyebrow. "So, Yuki," he said, using her mortal alias once again, "what makes you think Hikari's gonna be more of a hand-to-hand fighter than a swordsman? You really think the kid's not gonna pick up a blade like I did?"
Aphrodite folded her arms, her expression thoughtful. "Hikari's different. He's not you, and he's not me. His style, his strength—it comes from more than just combat. He blends in, he adapts. That's why a weapon that hides itself, that transforms to fit any situation, suits him better than something like a sword."
Hephaestus, still working at the forge, chimed in without looking up. "A sword is too predictable for a kid like Hikari. He'll need something that can do more than just slice and dice. The boy's smart, tactical. This watch? It's more than just a weapon—it's a tool, a shield, a resource."
Ares looked at the watch again, rolling it over in his fingers. He could feel the latent power within it, the potential for destruction. But he could also sense its versatility, how it could transform depending on the wielder's needs. He had to admit, it was clever.
"He better be smart enough to use it right," Ares muttered, though there was a note of pride in his voice. "He's got big shoes to fill. His dad was no slouch either."
Aphrodite's eyes softened as she glanced at the watch. "He'll learn. He's got the best of all of us in him. He's not just about war or love. He's going to be something new—something none of us expect."
Ares chuckled, shaking his head. "Yeah, well, let's hope the kid's ready for it when the time comes. 'Cause once he starts using this, there's no going back."
Aphrodite gave a small nod. "He won't have to go back. He'll carve his own path."
4 years later.
As a 10 year old Percy and Hikari were near a shop, Percy had once again kicked out of another school as then Hikari and Percy Stopped, as they saw something going on, people who were winning prince from a man.
Hikari and Percy went to the man, he had black hair looked kinda built and looked like Gangstar.
The man then spoke. "Step right up, step right up and win a prize"
Hikari eyes then moved as he saw a watch. "I want that"
The man looked at him. "Ah a keen eyes, so why don't you try it, first hit is free"
Percy looked at him. "What is your name mister"
The man looked at him. "Wow aren't you smart ass, my name is Sera"
Hikari looked at him. "that is a girl's name".
In the background two people smacked there head, as they just look at Sera.
The woman looked at the man. "I told Ares now to use his name back word's".
The man looked at her. "Will Yuki, he is a Dumass"
As Percy and Hikari stood in front of the man, Sera, tension buzzed in the air. The man was clearly not someone to mess with, but Hikari's sharp eyes were locked onto the watch among the prizes. It was unlike anything he had seen before, something about it called out to him.
Ares smirked at Hikari's remark about his name. "Yeah, well, not everyone gets a choice in names, kid." His tone was casual, but his gaze was sharp, taking in the two boys carefully. "You want the watch? You're gonna have to earn it."
Percy tugged on Hikari's sleeve, whispering, "I don't know about this guy. He gives me the creeps."
But Hikari was focused. "What do I have to do to win it?"
Ares pointed to a table set up beside him. "Simple. You pick a card, and if you pick the right one, you win. But you only get one try." He spread a few cards across the table, face down.
Hikari narrowed his eyes, suspicious. This wasn't just some street game—there was something more to this. He could feel it in the air, like the watch was meant for him, pulling him in.
Percy glanced around nervously, feeling something was off, but Hikari was already leaning forward. He hovered his hand over the cards, his instincts kicking in. He trusted them more than anything.
"Go ahead, kid," Sera said, leaning back with a smirk, as if he already knew the outcome.
Before Hikari could make his choice, the woman standing in the background, 'Yuki,' crossed her arms. She looked at Ares with an exasperated expression. "You're really doing this? Making them play for a weapon they don't even understand?"
Ares shrugged. "Hey, Ares wanted them tested. This is the way we do things."
Hikari's hand froze mid-air as he heard their conversation. A test? A weapon? This was more than just a street scam.
Hikari glanced at Percy, who was watching the interaction with wide eyes. He took a deep breath and let his hand fall onto one of the cards.
Ares smirk widened. "Let's see if you've got the luck, kid."
Slowly, Hikari turned over the card. His eyes widened as the card revealed a symbol he hadn't seen before—a heart surrounded by flames.
Ares's eyes gleamed. "Well, would you look at that? Seems like you got yourself a prize."
He handed the watch to Hikari, who hesitated before taking it. The moment his fingers wrapped around the watch, he felt a strange warmth spread through his hand, a connection of sorts.
Yuki shook her head and muttered under her breath, "It begins."
Hikari and Percy exchanged a confused glance as Sera waved them off with a grin. "Good luck, kid. You're gonna need it."
As the three figures stepped back into the shadows, their forms shimmered and shifted, revealing their true identities—Aphrodite, Hephaestus, and Ares.
Hephaestus, still eyeing the newly acquired watch in Hikari's hand, shook his head and turned to Ares with a mixture of amusement and exasperation. "Of all the names you could have chosen, you went with Sera? You really couldn't think of anything else?"
Ares crossed his arms, looking unbothered. "Hey, it worked, didn't it? Besides, it's my name backwards. Why overcomplicate things?"
Aphrodite, now fully herself with her flowing orange hair and radiant wings, rolled her eyes at the two of them. "We're not here to debate Ares' lack of creativity." She glanced over at Hikari, who was still inspecting the watch, oblivious to the fact that his new prize was far more than it appeared. "Hikari has the weapon now. That's what matters."
Hephaestus, tapping his futuristic prosthetic leg, studied the boy from afar. "Let's just hope he learns to use it wisely. It's not every day you hand a kid something like that without proper guidance."
Ares shrugged, clearly unconcerned. "He's our son too, remember? He's got the blood of a fighter in him. He'll figure it out."
Aphrodite sighed softly. "Maybe. But Hikari is different. He's not just like either of you. He's got my influence too, and that makes him... unique. He won't just rely on brute strength."
Hephaestus grunted in agreement, still watching Hikari with a thoughtful gaze. "True. He's more than a warrior. That's why we crafted the watch with versatility in mind. It's not just a weapon—it's a tool that adapts to the user."
Ares smirked, clearly satisfied. "Then it's perfect for him. He'll learn fast. And when the time comes, he'll be ready."
Aphrodite looked at them. "Anyway they are going to be going to a new school, sense that Percy Boy once again got my kid kicked out"
Hephaestus looked at her. "I got something from a mortal a voucher for a school, it is called Yancy Academy"
Ares looked at it. "So who is slipping this into Sally or Paul news paper"
The gods just looked at eachother, non of them were that sneaky and will that was going to be a problem.
Aphrodite crossed her arms and sighed, glancing at the voucher Hephaestus held. "Yancy Academy, huh? Well, it sounds like a decent place to send them, especially after everything with Percy getting Hikari kicked out of yet another school."
Hephaestus handed the voucher over to Ares. "We just need to get this into Sally or Paul's hands, and they'll enroll the boys. Simple enough—except none of us are exactly known for being subtle."
Ares snorted, turning the voucher in his hand as if trying to figure out how to make the whole situation work. "Yeah, sneaking isn't really my thing. I'm more about smashing, not slipping papers into newspapers." He glanced at Aphrodite. "What about you? You're sneaky when you need to be."
Aphrodite gave a delicate laugh, shaking her head. "Oh, I can be subtle when it comes to romance, but this? No. I might end up charming half the neighborhood instead of just delivering a simple note."
The three gods stood in awkward silence for a moment, each realizing that none of them had the finesse required for this particular task.
Finally, Hephaestus cleared his throat. "Well, we could always... get a mortal involved? Maybe use one of my automatons or something."
Aphrodite raised an eyebrow. "Do you really think Sally wouldn't notice a robot slipping a voucher into her morning paper?"
Ares chuckled. "Yeah, that's bound to raise a few eyebrows."
Hephaestus rubbed his chin thoughtfully. "We could always leave it on the doorstep with their mail and hope they find it..."
Aphrodite sighed again, clearly exasperated. "We'll figure something out. For now, let's focus on making sure everything goes smoothly with the school. We can't afford another incident."
Ares grinned. "Yeah, don't worry. We'll get it done. Even if it means using... unconventional methods."
The gods exchanged a look, silently agreeing that somehow, they'd manage—one way or another.
