Chapter Ten: New Friends

I woke up in the infirmary before remembering I had passed out after using my earth shaker power, damn was that empowering yet draining at the same time. It felt like I had the earth in my hands yet exhausted at the same time.

I sat up with no problem as I had no injuries to see the group I saved. Luke, Thalia, and Annabeth. Each's fate was inwoven into my own, Luke to be my friend turned enemy who turned back to friend last moment.

Thalia to be my cousin, who will be there with me till the end. And then Annabeth, who is going to be my girlfriend. Do I want that? Do I want any of their fates to be the same? Hell no, Luke doesn't need to be an enemy, I don't mind Thalia's future but Annabeth.

What do I do there? Let it happen, let my feelings blossom and if they don't move on? I like that, I mean theres a lot of people in the world, I don't need to be hung up on something that hasn't happened. Especially on something like that.

As I get off the bed I see Luke move a bit before opening his eyes, before we make eye contact. We stare for a bit before I speak, breaking the silent mood.

"How are you feeling? I hope non of the monsters got to you guys." I said, smiling as he slightly relaxes in the shoulder area. What did he think I was gonna do? Stab him? Whatever, I hold up my hand for him to shake as he sits up and takes it.

"Names Percy Jackson, Son of Poseidon, nice to meet you..." I hang off as his eyes widen, he forgot to introduce himself. He clears his throat before downing a glass of water left on the bed stand.

"Names Luke, Luke Castellan, Son of Hermes." Luke said as I rose an eyebrow, I had forgotten he met his dad on his journey, he had returned home to see his mom have a mental break down and his father meet him, not a nice first meet.

"Well, how did you guys get so many monsters to trail you guys? It looked like Uncle H sent them himself with how many there was." I said as he winced, losing his smile and scowls.

"Thats because he did, Thalia is a daughter of Zeus, Hade-" Before he finishes his sentence I cover his mouth. As he looks at me with surprise before anger.

"Don't say his name, when you say a God's name and it's less than satisfactory, they listen to the conversation. I think thats how he found you guys aside from the scent." I said as he looks confused, surprised, and still a little anger.

"So you were saying?" I said as I removed my hand and he continued, "Uh, Lord of the Dead had sent them a to get back at Grandpa for breaking some oath. At least thats what dad said." He said in a little resentment. I have a lot of work to do if I want him to stay good don't I?

"Yeah, it's a pact made by my dad, Big Z, and Uncle H. It was to not have any demi-god children after world war two, as some great prophecy came up for a demi-god child of the elder gods." I said as he looks a little scared, oh yeah Thalia is his friend.

"Do you know anything? Is there anyone older than ten thats a son of gramps or uncle P?" He asked, desperate to hear a yes. Ouch, sorry man but Thalia's a main candidate. I wonder what Athena will say.

"Sorry, but no. Right now it's just me and Thalia, and I'm 6." I said as he deflates, and lies back down on the bed.

"Do, do you know anything about the prophecy?" He asks, "No, Chiron won't let me know anything about it. Says I'm far to young." I said as he closes his eyes and sighs. I decided to head out and give him some space while getting breakfast for everyone.

As I arrive the campers come up and thank me for the help, some giving me hugs and try to pull my cheeks (Aph's cabin) while others give me small nods in appreciation. Speaking of what I did, I wonder if Athena will let me train my earth shaker powers now.

I walk up to some Nymphs and Dryads and ask them to help me carry some food to the infirmary as they quickly agree and grab 3 plates for the group. I grab my own as we make our way down and I see Thalia and Annabeth had woke up.

They look over and see the food as they quickly get up, grabbing a plate and thanking them. The giggle and walk back, not before ruffling my hair. I sigh and eat at where I had slept while making small talk with them.

I tried to learn things I didn't know yet, in the world I live in now Annabeth isn't a emotional teen yet so I quickly make friends with her. Thalia is almost just as the book described her but 5 years younger.

When I told them about me they looked shocked and a little jealous, then again I do train with Athena herself. I tell them that I could easily invite them to the lesson and the get excited.

Thalia is most likely gonna be asked to join by Athena anyway. And Annabeth is a guarantee, Luke should be able to get in as we also have lessons with Hermes cabin, we actually have lessons with everyone as to be as well rounded as possible.

We talk for a while before I leave to go to my lesson with Rosie, I had another idea I wanted to share with her. I don't have enough control to do it yet but she can, which is great.

My idea was to take the water in the air and make it heavier, thicker, and more dense. By doing this it makes it harder to move and will increase my training difficulty by a lot. But in my eyes it will be well worth the effort.

I walk over to see her standing on the beach waiting for me. As I walk over I remember Thalia's age.

'Wait, she's 10 right now so in 6 years she's 16, and I'm 12. Oh shit.'
