Chapter Nine: Change of Fate

<Time skip. July 16, 1999>

"Come on, hurry!" Said a young blonde, around 12. Next to the blonde we see a black haired kid around 10 holding hands with a younger blonde, maybe 6. In front of this small group was a scrawny kid that looked 11 with hairy goat legs, who was trying to lead them through the forest towards camp.

"Die Daughter of Zeus, may your blood stain the very spear you use!" Hissed what looked like a snake women, whom was killed with a sword strike to the neck by the older blonde.

"Not today, Grover how much longer till we get to camp?" Asked the boy, looking at the goat legged kid. Who answered shakily.

"N-not much farther Luke, just up the hill." The newly named Grover said to the older blonde, who is apparently named Luke. The group took that as good news as they hurried their tired yet face pace.

Not to far from the group was a horde of monsters who were released by their master Hades to reek havoc on the Daughter of Zeus. They charged as fast as they could to taste the flesh they've been deprived of.

As the groups rushed towards their to respective objectives Percy was walking the border with Damien, who had quickly became his best friend at camp. They were chatting and enjoying the nice night air before a storm quickly took over the night sky, as Percy's eyes narrowed.

'It's time.' Was all he thought before he took out a gift his dad sent to him via Rosie. Riptide. Uncapping the pen the 3 foot long Xiphos appeared, he received it not even 2 weeks ago when Athena deemed his body suitable to wield a normal sword.

"Damien, go get Chiron. I feel monsters approaching, a lot of them." He warned his friend as he nodded and ran towards the big house. Percy learned a new ability from Rosie, it basically allowed him to see everything in his surroundings without his eyes by using the water. She deemed it 'Water Sense'.

Percy walked up towards the disturbances he felt and looked down while standing at the top of the hill. There, he saw a group of kids break though the forest and run up the hill with a horde of monsters following.

'Gods dammit, I didn't think there would be so many.' Percy thought, despite his new power it was not refined to the point he could get perfect images when there was a lot of movement. He took a mini bottle of water from his pocket and poured it over his head, gaining a shot of power.

"Hurry! Up here!" Percy yelled, as he summoned as much power he could and stomped the ground with his foot, the earth shacking causing the horde to fall over and pile on one another. The kids saw this as a chance to get away and made it to the top of the hill.

"Who're you?" Luke warily asked, wondering how someone Annabeth's age caused an earthquake, Thalia scoffed at the question.

"We can ask that later, what we need to know is how to kill those things down there." Thalia said as they heard marching. Luke and Thalia was on guard while Annabeth was confused with Grover panting on the ground.

They watched as a bunch of Demi-Gods, around 60 march up in armor ranging from leather to celestial bronze. Carrying swords, bows, and a few daggers. Percy cracks a tired smile at Chiron who smiled back.

"Good job Percy, children. We'll take it from here." Was all Percy heard as he nodded and fell over, his friend Damien holding him up as the group follow him to the infirmary. The new Demi-Gods clearly on edge, let out a breath they were holding as they were treated and ate Ambrosia.

"Ah~ thats the stuff right there, what your name?" Thalia asked Damien, who replied in kind. The conversed with the group learning about camp and Percy with Damien learning about their situation and who they were.

"What do we do now?" Annabeth asked, as Damien smiled at her,

"Sleep, you guys must be exhausted. Regardless of the Ambrosia you need rest, We'll wake you in the morning." Damien said, as they nodded and slept with Grover joining them. Damien sighs and makes his way out.

As Damien walk out of the Infirmary Chiron and the other Demi-Gods killed the horde of monsters with ease thanks to being prepared. Arrows rained down on the monsters and picked them off as many Demi-Gods stabbed them in the confusion, leading to a swift victory.

They cheer and rush back to the Pavillon to finish their dinner, Chiron chuckles and makes his way towards Mr. D at the head table, who was drinking Diet Coke. They celebrate the new addition of Demi-Gods and victory in defending camp.

The rest of the night was filled with cheer only to stop when they lay rest, sleeping their well earned rest. But far away from the Camp, in a realm different to this one was Olympus, The Golden City.

In this beautiful city a meeting held place, a meeting between Gods. In the room we see a few Gods yelling and others either sleeping or listening to music. One God, Zeus, was growing tired of the banter and shot off his master bolt as to gain silence.

"Better, we're Gods, not children so lets act like it." He said in a authoritative tone, as his wife Hera glared at him with rage.

"You said Thalia was to die today, you lie!" She hissed at him, as Zeus narrows his eyes.

"She was, the Fates decreed it so. So how is she alive, not that I'm complaining." Zeus said, as Apollo took off his headphones and answers with a serious face for once.

"The battle was different then what I saw in my vision, this time the child, Percy, was there and caused a earthquake while getting camp to come and take care of it. In fact most of my visions revolving around Percy have been either wrong, or were changed by him. It's like fate has no hold on him." Apollo said, as not a single thing could be heard aside from the Hearth's fire.

The Gods and Goddesses paused at what Apollo said, that shouldn't be possible. No living thing can be Fateless, it was unheard of yet Percy's living proof that Fate has no hold on them. Zeus, the paranoid God he is asks a question that can change the entire council's fate.

"You said when Percy's involved, fate can change right?" He asked, as the council's mind raced face at the implications. If they interact with the Demi-God they can change the future without Fates ire? Priceless!

"It, seems so, yes, yes it does." Apollo confirmed, as the gods all yelled at each other on what to do, with Zeus once again shooting his master bolt to regain the attention. Zeus thinks for a bit before he comes up with a idea.

"We shouldn't interfere anymore then we already are, we must wait until Athena is done training him. Then we will send him on specific quests to change fate in our favor. Agreed?" He asked/demands, as the council nods and leave.

Unknown to Percy, his life just got a hol' lot harder.
