After reuniting with Hestia, I decided to investigate what had brought me to this mess. This invasion was a problem too big to ignore, I had to find the being responsible for this.

So after delegating a bunch of tasks to Athena and other gods, I focused my entire attention on my search for an answer, this eventually lead my Magic sense to somewhere, a place that emanated a very distinct yet familiar energy, an energy that resembled the energy the ones that had attacked me emanated, it was weak, and barely noticeable, but like a moth to a flame, I teleported there. Finding that in this unknown location there was an abandoned house with a simple wooden door that guarded the entrance, taking a deep breath I opened the door carefully taking a peek into the house.

At a first glance the interior looked dusty, and unattended with a few items scattered around the floor. Nothing valuable, just day to day things.

"Here goes nothing," I muttered, walking into the house full with trepidation with my weapon ready in case something happened, as I walked through the living I eyed the kitchen and the hallway taking turns between each, nothing but short intervals.

Thanks to this, I knew the kitchen was empty, which means my path had yet to find an end, so I kept on walking towards the hallway that connected to the rooms in the house that was just passed the living room and the kitchen, all while taking a good look around the area.

Once I reached the hallway, I turned around noticed that at the end of the hallway there was an odd collection of artifacts, and human bones laying on the floor, immediately I scanned the items with my Magic and noticed some of the bones dated to hundreds of years before the the medieval age, things were getting weird, and I had a feeling this was just the beginning.

At the end of the hallway, above the human bones and artifacts there was a ladder, that led to the attic, and before I knew it I was climbing the ladder to the attic, where the magical presence I had faintly felt vibrated with life.

The attic of the house was impressively more dusty than the house, which was saying something, the place was filled with lethal amounts of dust for those of weak lungs and dismembered hum—- "Oh fuck," I muttered in disgust as I eyed the still warm looking barely getting cold human parts that were tightly draped in ragged pieces of cloth that were dripping blood all around, making a small puddle of crimson.

Taking a deep breath, I shook my head as I decided to focus on what was important, finding the one responsible behind the attack and whatever had happened here, using my Magic sense, I searched around a spacious attic finding a footprint, a few arms away, quite literally.

The footprint felt strange though, for one it was abnormally large for any human being, and two… it reminded of someone, it reminded me of… Nyarlathotep, at that thought, crossed my mind, an involuntary shiver ran down my spine.

Was my so-called father behind this? No, it felt similar, but it wasn't the same, one thing was for sure though, whoever had left this footprint was related to Nyarlathotep.

But who, who amongst the monstrosities in the outer could possibly want me dead, and more importantly who amongst them had the power to launch such an attack. To most of them I was nothing, and to the one I mattered in a bizarre way, I was worth more alive.

"Fuck it, let's keep going," I breathed out as I peered around nervously, noticing the more I walked the bigger the attic seemed, as if it was growing and expanding as I walked around, with each step adding a point to the danger level, "So here some of those creatures were made," I muttered as the unmoving corpse of a outer demon as I called the bastards that attacked me earlier distracted me from my musings, until the sound of something wet followed by the sound of the wood cracking caught my attention.

It kinda sounded like an octopus or something like that walking around, "Am I glad I'm not a girl right now," I chuckled, realizing how creepy things were getting, heck, I was edging on on Hentai girl territory.

Heart thumping, I hastily made my way to the back of the attic one that had mysteriously stopped expanding, freaking finally… anyway at the end of the attic there was an object one I hadn't used since this morning. A mirror, not what I expected, but okay… the wet sound ever approaching still sounds promising anyway back to the mirror, the mirror was… quite nice to be honest, it reminded me of the renaissance.

But what really got my attention was the glow the mirror gave, not the mirror itself, but the faint red glow that seemed to come from the object itself, muffled by the crystal that reflected my face, "I… I have a bad feeling about this," I sighed.

[Odin POV]

Many had died during the battle we had won, and yet I had a feeling this was but the beginning of a nightmarish chain of attacks regardless of that, I was certain things from this point would only get more difficult.

After the storm of chaos the battle for Asgard had brought upon the world declaring the beginning of a new and dark era, I decided to focus my efforts and intellect on finding who amongst the outer beings had targeted my home, it made no sense.

"We must prepare, we can't let them enter Asgard again," Frigg muttered, kissing me on the cheek.

"Yes," I nodded absently, with the help of Adam, I was going to fix what it had been broken.

"We lost some minor gods," Frigg added, "and there is a chance they won't ever regenerate,"

"I know," I nodded, for I knew that death at the hands of those beings was depending on where they hit you, lethal to even a God.
