Oh Dear Cousin

The story is gonna be in Percy's POV for a bit just for my comfort in writing. So...yeah.

Okay okay. On with the story!

Percy Jackson's POV (First Person)

I smirked at my cousins as they quirked their heads in confusion. Okay, wait a second. That sentence sounded smart. Someone take a screenshot and show it Annabeth.

Anyway, Nico and Thalia looked like baby seals. Honestly, their heads were tilted, and they had that confused pout on their faces. Getting back to the point though, I was really excited about what I was about to do.

You see, after the Giant War, my dad called me up and was like, 'Percy, I will teach you how to control your powers and all that good stuff,' except he sounded deeper and more regal. Ask Annabeth, she'll tell you about it.

As any good son would do, I naturally said yes. Training with the God of the Seas wasn't easy, but I managed to get through some of it without dying. Trust me, that's a good thing.

During my training with him, he taught me this - this thing that turns me into water and let's me teleport to places. It was kind of like Nico's shadow travel, but less draining and a lot less...um...death-y.

So anyway, when I explained to them, Thalia groaned. I raised an eyebrow, but she just electrocuted me. I decided to not talk about that anymore. I sighed and ran my hand through my hair, "Well...I was expecting more of a reaction, but it's fine."

"Proud much?" Nico mumbled.

"Um...no. You're my cousins. I'm allowed to be as annoying or as proud as possible." I said, smirking at him.

He blew a stray hair off his face, "You're already as annoying as it is. I mean, how much more annoying can you get?"

I put my hand on my heart, feigning disappointment, "Bold of you to assume I've reached peak."

Nico rolled his eyes at Thalia, who was snickering the entire time, "What are you laughing at?"

It was so obvious that she stifled an oncoming giggle before answering, "My gods. You guys are so dumb. You're the reason I joined the hunters."

I rolled my eyes, "Yeah, well-"

Nico rolled his eyes, "Perce, don't even. We'll settle this in the training room. You think you can Vapor Travel us to Stark Towers?"

I thought about it, "Vapor Travel. I like it. Who knew you were so creative when it comes to names? I mean, one day when Leo-"

"Percy!" My cousins yelled, snapping me out of my train of thought.

I snapped my fingers, "Oh, yeah! The Stark Towers thing. Um...sure. Grab on."

Thalia leaned away, "No."

I raised my eyebrow, "ExCUSE me, Ms.Pincone. Unless you want me to leave you here, you better."

She huffed before gingerly taking one of my fingers, and shuddering. I raised an eyebrow before pulling my finger away and grabbing her hand. She looked at me, horrified. I just shrugged and held out my other hand for Nico.

He shuffled over to me before slowly taking my hand. I think I saw him blush, but I can't be sure. Nico always has his hair all over his face, so you can't really see it.

I grinned at them, "Hold on tight, it's going to make you nauseous."

Thalia clamped her eyes shut, and Nick just tensed his shoulders. I closed my eyes and imagined us turning into smaller and smaller water droplets, then into water Vapor. I drew a mental picture of my bedroom in Stark Tower and imagined myself materializing there.

I don't know if it sounds complicated, but it's really not. If it sounds complicated for you mortals, I'm sorry to say...I'm smarter than you.

Anyway, once I materialized with my cousins next to me, I realized that I had to catch Thalia and Nico from falling face first to the floor. Keyword being: had.

I didn't catch them.

Instead, I got the satisfaction of watching them fall flat on their faces from nausea, wake up, and figure out they had to kill me.

Nico was, surprisingly, the first one up. He growled at me before trying to grab my shirt. I dodged him and dashed out the door.

I heard him wake up Thalia as I ran into the hallway. I looked behind me in anticipation, but I didn't see them. I frowned and looked forward to see Nico shadowtravel in front of me, Thalia next to him.

They. Looked. Mad.

That was it. I did a double take and decided to take the long way into the Living Room, where the Avengers were sitting.

I ran into the room, briefly waving at the Avengers as I speed-walked into the kitchen, behind the counter. Nico and Thalia followed close behind me, not even sparing a glance at the, now very, confused superheroes.

Thalia growled at me from the other side of the counter, "Jackson, give me one good reason I shouldn't blast you with lightning."

"Because I'm your oh so dear cousin, and you love me oh so very much," I said, innocently. Then I pointed at Nico, "Except him. He doesn't love me. Apparently, i'M nOt HiS tYpE."

Nico groaned, "WILL YOU LET IT GO?!"

I blew a raspberry at him, "No."

Thalia snarled, "That's it, Jackson! Don't you even try to run!"

She ran around the kitchen counter, effectively cornering me. Me, forgetting that I was in fact, behind the kitchen counter, tried to make run for it. Instead, I ran right into a kitchen cabinet and lost consciousness.

The last thing I remembered before I closed my eyes, was Nico and Thalia high-fiving and the Avengers trying to keep me awake.

Of course, that would never work. When Morpheus wanted me to sleep, I slept. That's when the torture began again...
