Kirisu Miharu’s Apology
"Back."
Seeing his familiar surroundings, Ren dispelled his blurry appearance and sat on his bed calmly.
Although there was a slight mishap while strolling after delivering the letter to Gabriel and Raphiel, overall, everything went smoothly.
Taking out phone, Ren checked if there were any messages for him.
When he was in Heaven earlier, phone had no signal, so even if someone sent him a message, he couldn't receive it.
"Furuhashi sent me a message."
He clicked it, and the information appeared in front of him.
Furuhashi Fumino: [Kamikawa, do you have some free time tomorrow afternoon? My gift for you is ready.]
Kamikawa Ren: [Yes.]
After reading it, he quickly replied.
Coincidentally, he didn't have any work lately, so he was quite free.
Fumino didn't reply, nor did the message he just replied to show as read.
"It seems she's not online."
After waiting for a while but still not seeing her reply, Ren put down phone.
*Knock Knock*
At this moment, there was a sudden knock on the door.
"Hm?"
Ren walked to the door.
After opening it, he saw Miharu standing in front of the door, her face slightly red and looking very shy.
"Excuse me... Ren-san, I made some desserts. Would you like to come to Onee-sama's house to try them?"
Seeing Ren appear in front of her, Miharu gathered her courage to invite him.
"Sure."
Although he didn't know why she suddenly invited him to eat desserts, Ren agreed anyway.
After all, it wasn't that important.
"Thank you very much."
Seeing him agree, Miharu sighed in relief and quickly thanked him.
"Shouldn't I be thanking you for something like this?"
Ren always felt her words were a bit strange.
"I will explain this matter to you later." Miharu averted her gaze to the side out of embarrassment, "For now, please come back with me, Ren-sama."
"Okat."
Ren closed the door and followed her to Mafuyu's house.
"Excuse me."
After following her inside, Ren unconsciously looked around the room.
What surprised him was how clean Mafuyu's house was, making him wonder if he had come to the wrong place.
It had been a long time since he last cleaned the room here, but it was still incredibly tidy.
In amazement, Ren shifted his attention to Mafuyu, who was wearing Shuchi'in Academy sports attire and sitting at the table, slowly sipping juice.
"Please, have a seat."
Setting down cup, Mafuyu observed Ren staring at her incessantly and said.
She always felt Ren was just thinking of something very rude.
"Yes."
Seeing the juice and plate already placed in front of the chair where he usually sat, Ren sat there obediently.
After choosing a more comfortable sitting position, he noticed the desserts on the table.
(Cakes, daifuku, pudding...there are many kinds.) Ren sighed inwardly.
"Ren-san, you can eat them right away."
Miharu sitting in chair, realized that Ren was only watching and not intending to eat, so she hurriedly urged.
"Yes."
After hearing this, Ren took a cake and ate it bit by bit.
"Very crispy and fragrant."
After eating, he commented softly.
Just as he was about to take another cake, he suddenly realized that Mafuyu and Miharu had been staring at him incessantly from then until now, and they hadn't even eaten their desserts.
"Is there something on my face?" He asked hesitantly.
Mafuyu didn't speak but turned to Miharu.
Then, Miharu placed both her hands on her chest and said apologetically, "I'm sorry, Ren-san."
"I mistakenly assumed that you and Onee-sama were a couple before, so I did some very rude things to you. Please forgive me."
"You misunderstood that Kirisu-sensei and I are lovers?"
Hearing this, Ren glanced at Mafuyu.
He really didn't understand why she misunderstood until now.
They had a normal teacher-student relationship.
"Yes, so I apologize." Miharu suppressed her embarrassment and continued.
Anyway, her mistake was her mistake.
"Did you invite me to dessert just to apologize to me?"
Seeing the stack of desserts on the table, Ren suddenly understood something.
"Yes, all of this is made for you." Miharu nodded quickly and admitted, "I have caused a lot of trouble for you, and I could only think of this way to compensate you."
"It's okay, I don't mind." Ren said softly.
Honestly, he didn't feel like Miharu had done anything rude to him.
Upon careful consideration, those things were entirely normal.
Or was there something wrong with what he considered normal?
But Ren didn't feel his understanding of normality was wrong.
If he misunderstood the meaning of normal, wouldn't he have revealed that he was not an ordinary person from the start?
But until now, he still pretended to be very good.
Which means there's no deviation in his understanding.
Moreover, Miharu could misunderstand the teacher-student relationship between himself and Mafuyu, so the problem wasn't him, but Miharu.
"Thank you very much."
After accepting her apology, Miharu finally felt relieved.
"By the way, Sensei didn't have an oven at her previous house."
After finishing the conversation with Miharu, Ren asked something he was slightly more concerned about.
"Shopping. Miharu and I went to the mall to buy an oven recently." Mafuyu answered casually.
Miharu added, "On the day we met in front of the apartment door, we went to the mall."
"Bought specifically for me?"
Thinking about what she had just said, Ren made some guesses.
"No. I just wanted to practice some desserts, so I bought it. It's just that Miharu used it first." Mafuyu said very seriously, "However, because there are other things I have to deal with lately, I don't have time. Practice can only be postponed for a while."
"I see."
After getting this answer, Ren took a piece of cake and ate it again.
Hopefully, oven can last a few more days while Mafuyu practices.
