Your guide mentions a back gate, and you follow him. He yells something out in Galamencian and the gate opens. You head inside to find several barbarians preparing for the siege. One of the barbarian warriors is having an argument with the village elder.

Anne walks up, "Why haven't they attacked yet?"

The barbarian turns and looks at Anne, "They want to see the village elder…to give us a chance to surrender…or so they claim."

"How many are there?", you ask.

The barbarian sighs, "My scouts reported about a few dozen…"

Anne nods, "Not bad…perhaps we should engage them now when they don't expect it."

The village elder seems nervous, "I don't want to go anywhere near those necromancers…"

The barbarian warrior gets angry, "Standing around here is no better…send an envoy perhaps we can kill their leader."

The village elder's eyes widen a bit, "You don't fear their death magic…what if they were to turn the envoy on us? It could be a trap. The person who returns could be under their control."

The barbarian warriors sighs, "This is getting nowhere…you won't let me and my men go…and you won't let us attack…if this continues they will win by starving us."

Anne steps forward, "We can act as envoys…"

The village elder looks at Anne, "You will…why?"

Anne shrugs, "The chieftain has hired us to take care of this problem…besides…I want to see these necromancers up close."

The village elder nods, "They will find it suspicious if your bodyguards are not dressed in our war garbs…I will gather some for you."

Anne chuckles when he refers to you and Arlo as bodyguards.
