A week passes, Malik mostly stays indoors and only leaves occasionally to pick up something here or there. The work is indeed boring. Anne grows bored and begins throwing daggers against the wall of Malik's room, which angers him greatly. Arlo remains on alert, but whenever Malik gets too close to him he wrinkles his nose in disgust.
