Chapter 31: Bronze Level

After running back to Jinling City for over ten minutes, I finally arrived. As I entered, I discovered that the city was now filled with players who had been sleeping for six hours.

Wu Shaochen went straight to the City Lord's Mansion, but was stopped by a soldier at the entrance.

"The City Lord's Mansion is a restricted area. Unauthorized personnel are not allowed."

"You're quite arrogant," Wu Shaochen said, explaining his purpose and showing the letter to the soldier. The soldier quickly went inside to report and soon returned to escort Wu Shaochen in.

Upon entering the main hall, Wu Shaochen knew that the middle-aged man sitting at the top with a stern expression must be the City Lord.

"I heard you encountered Jiri. How is he now?" The City Lord immediately came down and asked upon seeing Wu Shaochen.

"I'm sorry, but he's already dead. He entrusted me with this letter to deliver to you before he died," Wu Shaochen handed the letter to the City Lord.

"Wow, 20 gold coins! This quest is worth it. Just a quick errand and I get 20 gold coins. This City Lord is really generous," Wu Shaochen thought to himself, feeling pleased.

Originally planning to leave, Wu Shaochen noticed that the City Lord still had a troubled expression. He thought, "Could the City Lord be facing a difficult situation? I wonder if I can help."

The City Lord's eyes lit up when he glanced at Wu Shaochen, but quickly dimmed again. He said, "Indeed, there is a rather troublesome matter, but your current strength is not enough to handle it."

This guy's attributes are on par with the Black Bear King. Fortunately, the skills don't have control effects, but the damage is quite high. However, Wu Shaochen doesn't feel much pressure. He quickly goes in with extreme speed and strikes twice, then easily evades a regular attack.

However, this War God's Shadow has a short skill attack range, so as long as Wu Shaochen only gets hit by one regular attack or skill attack each time, there isn't much danger.

That felt great. Indeed, improving one's rank and strength is the greatest. Looking at the free attribute points, along with the attribute points he hadn't allocated from leveling up twice before, he now has a total of 60 free attribute points.

After considering it, I decided to allocate 20 points to agility and 40 points to constitution. I still want to focus on defense, as my agility is already quite high.
