GUARDIAN OF THE PEARLS

I didn't understand what the old man was trying to say and I only wanted to get away from all this because I didn't wanted my family to get into any trouble .

So I handed him the box and I was about to leave but he held my hand gently firm behind and said my child this is no ordinary Pearl and it has chosen you as it's owner and you cannot refuse to take it .

Sorry Mr I don't want it you can give it to someone else I replied .

That's not how it's works my child you see I have been looking for the rightful owner for this Pearl and it never chose a owner since the past thousands of years and it finally chose you how can I give it to anyone he replied ( with a serious expression ) .

What do you mean by that Mr how can a stone chose it's owner I asked him ( with a confused expression ) .

He simply led out a smile and said this is no ordinary stone my child but you cannot understand it's potential completely and right now please take his pearl with you and I will call for you when you are ready .

Sorry Mr I still don't understand what are you trying to say but I don't want to get involved in all this stuff I said as I handed him the box back and turned back to leave .

As soon as I handed him that box it began to shine again and this time it opened itself and a Beautiful Stone came out if it and I couldn't believe my eyes the stone was actually floating in thin air and then suddenly it came towards me I rushed towards my house gate when suddenly it came close and got attached on the left side of my chest right on my heart .

I started to feel a sudden range of power flowing through my body and felt my self strengthening up and then suddenly I started to feel dizzy and I felt on the ground hitting my head hard and I fainted .

The next morning I woke up with a really bad headache and there I saw my mom holding my hand while she cried .

I gently placed my other arm on her hand and asked her what had happened and she looked really pleased to see me awake .

Mom w-where am I and why are you crying I said with a low voice .

Ohh my dear Anna you are awake how are you feeling my child you are in the hospital she replied .

Ohh in the hospital why mom I asked her ( with a confused expression ) .

Ohh honey I came to check on you in your room and you weren't there so when I went downstairs I heard a loud sound of crash from the garden when went there I saw you lying unconscious on the ground and I tried to awake you but you had fainted so me and your dad quickly rushed you to the hospital and what were you doing in the garden late at night she said while tears fell off her eyes .

Then suddenly I remembered about the old man and the box and that stone that was now attached to my heart but I couldn't tell her the truth so I simply said

Ohh mom it's nothing I was just checking

the gate last night when I saw Jerry ( my cat that I love to bits ) running in the lawn so I rushed after him and accidentally bumped my head on the wall and then I fell to the ground with a sound of a thud .

Ohh my how are feeling now dear does your heard hurt she said while placing her hand on my forehead .

It's fine mom it's better now I replied with a smile.

Then after sometime Dad came inside the and his face lit up as soon as he saw me .

He came rushing towards me and kissed my forehead gently and asked if I was okay .

I simply nodded in agreement .

Then after sometime I was finally discharged form the hospital and it was almost afternoon when we were leaving so mom and dad decided to treat me with some ice cream to cheer me up .

And it felt really great to spend some time with them because most of the time they were busy in their works and they always had less time to spend with me and it melted my heart seeing them care for me .

So after spending some quality time with family we finally went home

So after reaching home I went to my room go sleep but couldn't as I was worried and scared because of that Pearl .

But it was really beautiful and it was the size of my hand and when the light fell on it it would beam like a star in the milky way making it even more prettier .

So I decided to read a novel and after several hours of reading I went downstairs for dinner and was surprised to see my cousin Sam sitting at the dinning table with dad and when he saw me he rushed to hug me .

He was a nineteen year old boy ( and now he had gotten even more muscles and looked even more handsome than before ) who had joined army few years ago and was now himself a major in the army he was like a big brother to me and seeing him melted my heart .

I led out happy tears as I hugged him tight and throughout the dinner we talked alot about his life and his experience at the military about my college etc .

Then after dinner we went to the living room to spend some time together and after watching a movie we headed back to ours rooms to sleep .
