Inside the fort of Chittod, the atmosphere was still gloomy. Their king was abducted by the enemy using treacherous methods which made each and every one of them feel ashamed.

Just as when they were planning on how to get back their king, the Rajput soldiers on the wall saw rows and rows of carriages coming from the distance. They quickly told the news to their superiors and waited for their reply.

On the other hand, when Aarv looked at the fort of chittod in front of him with a relieved expression.

"We finally made it back safely…."

Aarv felt really lucky that the Khilji forces did not chase after them after their retreat. He quickly ordered instructor Naga, "Naga raise the flag…"

Naga nodded at Aarv and took out a flag from the side of his stable. When the Rajput soldiers saw the Kesari flag in front of the carriages, they quickly shouted, "Open the door…"

"Kacha… Kacha…"

Soon enough, the massive doors of the fort opened letting all the carriages along with Aarv's soldiers in. Badal Singh, the main commander of Rajputs went forward to greet Aarv and his soldiers.

"Welcome to the fort of Chittod…"

Although he did not recognize which kingdom the flag represented, he still came forward to greet the people who came forward to help Chittod.

Aarv looked at Badal Singh and nodded at him while saying, "I have got a big surprise for the fort of Chittod…"

As his words fell, from one of the carriages, a familiar figure came out. Although he looked quite ragged, all Rajputs recognize him instantly. That figure was none other than the King of Chittod, Maharawal Ratan Simha.

When Badal Singh saw Ratan Simha, he quickly went forward to support their king but the king refused as he strode forward himself. When the king reached where Aarv stood, he looked at Aarv and said,

"This favour, Mevad will remember it…"

Aarv looked at Maharawal ratan Simha and said respectfully, "It is my honour to help my king…"

After watching the king leave, Aarv turned his attention toward his soldiers. Although the confrontation with Khilji forces did not result in his soldier's death, there were still some soldiers who got injured during the battle.

He instructed Instructor Vijay, "Vijay sir, take all our soldiers to rest… also, have the injured treated…"

Instructor Vijay quickly took all the soldiers with him while saying, "As your wish Aarv babu…"

That night, Fort of Chittod held a grand celebration. Aarv along with his three instructors were invited inside the royal palace for a banquet.

When Aarv reached the palace, the palace guards bowed respectfully. They knew that the person before them along with his 100 soldiers, defeated more than 1,000 Khilji forces to rescue their king.

Aarv nodded at the guards and strode inside the royal palace with the three instructors.

---

Inside the royal palace, Maharawal Ratan Simha was seated on the King's seat along with their two commanders. When Aarv and other instructors arrived, they said respectfully.

"Annadata…"

The king looked at them and said, "Sit… prepare food for our guests…"

Soon, the dishes were served by the maids and the banquet started. Aarv too did not stand at the ceremony and started to eat the food. Although these dishes were primitive, they tested pretty well.

After the lunch was done, Maharawal Ratan Simha invited Aarv and his Three instructors to a special room. Inside the room, a clay model of the fort of chittod was built along with clay models of soldiers.

Maharawal Ratan Simha looked at the clay model of the fort and said,

"1,20,000 enemy soldiers… "

The person handling the clay models quickly put 12 clay model soldiers surrounding the fort of Chittod.

"30,000 our soldiers…"

The person did the same and placed 3 clay models behind the fort walls.

"Badal what do you think…?"

Maharawal Ratan Simha asked Badal Singh's opinion. He wanted to know what his commander think of this war. The Badal Singh pondered for a moment and said, "As long as we stay behind the castle wall, Alauddin can't do anything to us…"

The defence of Chittod was no joke. Its walls were carved out of limestone and stood as tall as 120 feet above the ground. As long as the walls stayed, it was impossible or the Khilji forces to invade the fort of Chittod.

But, in history, when Khilji attacked the fort of chittod for the second time he used Trembuche to breach the castle walls forcing the Rajput soldiers to fight against Khilji soldiers outside the castle walls.

Maharawal Ratan Simha approved of Badal Singh's plan. But still, he looked at Aarv and asked,

"What do you think..?"

Aarv looked at the clay model and then towards the king and said, "What if the Khilji's have a weapon that can attack inside the fort without destroying the castle wall...?"

Badal Singh looked at Aarv and said, "We haven't seen any Khilji forces use such a weapon in war before..."

Aarv was not surprised by this. because he knew that the Indian subcontinent had seen these weapons for the first time at the battle of chittod. He quickly told the description of Trembuchets to the king as well as Badal Singh. who looked shocked when they heard of such a weapon.

"Is there a way to counter such weapons...? " this time Badal Singh asked seriously.

"There is a way... but we need people inside the for to co-operate with me..." Aarv did have a couple of ways to counter trebuchets. The king looked at Aarv and said, "We will provide you full support as long as you can counter these weapons..."

"Thank you, my lord..." Aarv said as he bowed in a Namaste position.
