Sophina paused and thought about it. "no," she shook her head.
Jeffrey gestured with his hand for her to leave. Just as Sophina opened the door, she remembered a conversation she had had with her friend two days ago.
"I remember," she turned around. Although Sophina did not know what was happening, she knew it was best, to tell the truth. After all, if the Empress find out that she lied, her life might not be saved.
"Speak," Jeffery said.
"Two days ago, She told me she planned to leave the Palace. She said she met a kind person willing to pay for her brother's sickness, but she would have to work for her," Sophina said.
"Did she tell you the person?" Ellen asked. Jeffery could not help but smile.
"No, she said I would find out after everything is settled. She looked happy, so I did not continue to ask," Sophina answered.
"Alright, you can leave," Jeffery said. Sophina bowed to Ellen before working out of the room.
