The next day...
Bait.
"Your Majesty," Jeffery bowed to the king. Sebastian had his head lowered, looking at the report of men they had lost so far. The loss was not much, which made him feel relieved. War was not just a matter of number; without the right strategy, many men may die for nothing.
"What?" Sebastian was sure that Jeffery had something to report.
"We received news from the spies we sent earlier; the Emperor has sent out a decree saying that in the next five days, everyone should report ro the royal city of Towana," Jeffery paused and looked at the king.
"Five days?" Sebastian raised his brows; he had expected a reaction from the emperor after the Battle the last time. He knew the king might try to shut them out. No matter what, Sebastian was a king. He could not be gone for more than a few months. The walls of the royal city of Towana were high. If Sebastian took the war to him, they would be at a disadvantage.
