The Storm
After searching for a few hours, nobody found nothing or no clues. At 8pm they all went back to the hotel. Ryder gave Athen the address of the hotel.
Ryder: "Ok pups, we looked but we didn't find anything, but everyone did a great job! *yawns* Well, I am sleepy."
Tracker: "Si *yawns* I am too."
Ryder: "Let's all go inside. Athen, you wanna go home and we'll call you in the morning?"
Athen: "I can't go home."
Chase: "Why?"
Athen: "Because when I was little, my parents died in a fire. So I've been living on the streets of England for a few years now."
Ryder: "Oh, I'm sorry to hear that. Why don't you sleep at the hotel? We got a extra bed."
Athen: "Okay. That's sounds great!"
After a few minutes of driving, they all arrived at the hotel and checked in.
Suddenly, a big storm was brewing over London. The Paw Patrol called the elevator and got in it.
Athen: "So what level on we on?"
Ryder: "Level 24, the highest level in the hotel. We have a penthouse room."
Athen: "Cool! Can't wait until we get up there."
The elevator started to head up, and when they got up to the 18th floor...
Rubble: "Almost there."
*Bang* The elevator shook a little bit.
Marshall: "Um... What happened?"
Rocky: "Is everybody alright?"
Chase: "Um... guys, I think that the power went out."
Ryder: "It's ok everyone, we're safe."
The elevator started to creek and moan.
Ryder: "Maybe I spoke too soon."
Athen: "Oh no."
Marshall: "What's wrong?"
Athen: "The power is out. The elevator straps stay connected to the elevator when the power is on. Elevator straps is what makes the elevator go up and down floors. But with the electricity out and everybody in here....."
Then a huge *WHAP* everyone heard. One of the straps snapped off of the elevator.
Skye: "We're gonna fall!"
Athen: "Calm down, Skye. Hold on."
He pulls out his Rescue Pad and scans the elevator.
Athen: "Ok, according to my calculations we got about 5 minutes before the straps break and then we'll plummet down 18 stories!!"
Zuma: "We need a plan to get out of here dudes."
Everyone is thinking on how to get out of this problem, then after a few minutes later with one minute remaining...
Rocky: "Wait we on the 18th floor right?"
Ryder: "Right."
Rocky: "So we can..."
Athen: "Pry the elevator door open and just step out on the 18th floor."
Rocky: "Exactly!"
Athen: "Great idea Rocky. But we got to hurry! We got 45 seconds left!"
30 seconds left and they are trying to open the elevator door. Another *WHAP* happens.
Ryder: "Come on" he grunts to push the door.
15 seconds left!
Athen: "We're almost there. Keep going!!"
10 seconds left!!
Chase: Push everyone, the door is almost open.

4!!!
The elevator doors creeked opened and Athen yelled...
Athen: "JUMP!!!!!!"
3!!!!
2!!!!!
1!!!!!!
Everyone jumped off the elevator and hit the floor.
The Paw Patrol jumped in the nick of time. The last elevator strap whipped off at the last second and the elevator started to fall down. Within a few seconds, they heard a big *BANG* and the floor shooked a little.
Everest: "Wow, that was a close one!"
Marshall: "Yeah, next time I'm taking the stairs, hurt paw or not."
Ryder: "Good job Athen!! You saved all of us with your knowledge."
Athen: "Thanks Ryder, I'm just happy to help people. I consider helping people a job."
Ryder: "Hmmm....."
Ryder thought for a second. And then he decided their whole lives will change.
