Deathtrap, a meaningless quest

Years passed by after the birth of the two great Royal Princes in the kingdom of Cyras, when time spread its duration into a decade...Ten years.

In the ten years that passed after his son's birth, King Syron had unleashed every desperate enforcement and imposed his regime upon his soldiers, to embark on a fruitless expedition, in the solemn search of the Thorn of TUTUS.

Almost all his efforts, throughout the years, to save his son and his kingdom from impending doom drove him to madness. As he repeatedly sent quite a huge number of knights to their death in this endless quest for the search.

Patrol by patrol, forces by forces, knights by knights were all sent on this routine expedition, year after year, with only the survival of a few soldiers upon return. Chances of the lucky soldiers who came back with reports on the death of their fellow soldiers, Yet, no sight of the described tree presumed as the TUTUS, despite all their efforts.

The unknown secrets and hidden dangers in the FROZEN forest were the least of their expectations until half of the soldiers lost their lives in the process, but King Syron refused to give up and continued sending more and more soldiers, for the past ten years.

Three months ago, the King and Gregor met to send the best of the best amongst his soldier, which included the King's most trusted warrior guardian Tristian. Tristian was known in the entire Kingdom for his courageous achievements in every mission he had to embark on, which were all successful. His tactics and strategies to overcome all the deathtrap quests he had endlessly been sent on, were amongst his legendary uniqueness, which mostly shocked his enemies into terror, and his ultimate strength and endurance were, to say the least.

Due to the desperate matter at hand, which seemed to be drawing closer with no fruitful plans to escape the prophesied doom predicted upon them, Gregor, with permission of the King, organized the King's most trusted commanders Tristian and a few well-trained brave soldiers, as the last and final troop to embark on another fruitless expedition, to accomplish the prescribed task on the lead toward the TUTUS.

However, ever since this final troop left for the hunt of the tutus, none so far had heard from them since...even Tristian, which came as an extreme shock with the momentous assumptions of the worst-case scenarios.

The endlessly long-awaited moments for the past three months, with no news from Tristian or any of the soldiers, brought the King finally to his senses. He came to the realization of hopelessness on the frugal ends of all these fatal quests in seeking a mirage. As a strong doubt with regards to the TUTUS was finally a question mark to ponder upon. Every lead, they followed so far, ended up with an embarrassing failure, which added to his years of disappointments.

Therefore, the King of Cyras along with his special advisor Gregor had united, from a request made by the King, to summon him for a discussion.

For the past ten years, the search for the TUTUS lead to fruitless ends. And almost all of the patrols sent for the search ended up losing their lives to dangers loitering around the FROZEN forest.

The reports received so far on the dangers were quite extreme and horrendous. Despite the forest's endless winter, most of the soldiers invaded various territories and fell prey to the vicious giant wolves...hence this emergency meeting.

"We have been searching for this TUTUS all these years, with every resource at our disposal...are you still certain of its existence." King Syron asked Gregor, upon his presence for a private discussion, after the recent news reported from the last troop sent, including Tristian were assumed dead. No news whatsoever was heard from them for the past three months now.

"The prophesied tale will soon come to pass, and we would no longer have a kingdom left to protect once it comes forth...we only have another decade before we lost it all." The King continued to speak upon noticing Gregor's silence, deep in thought, he barely spoke a word since he was called into the palace.

The King's son was currently a vibrant ten-year-old young boy undergoing fierce training in sword fights, etiquette, martial art training, and other forms of education suitable to groom the crown prince for the responsibility ahead, ever since he turned seven.

The king had never had peace of mind anytime he looked at his son. The thoughts of the prophesy consumed him with extreme fear for himself and the kingdom.

"Let's have the final troop ferociously trained in the Noble Academy for the next round of the search. What we are up against is nowhere compared to our greatest assumptions...there is an invisible force, a true danger lurking around, that we have not figured out yet. That might be what rendered all our efforts meaningless." Gregor finally found his tongue to speak.

He shifted closer to the king when an idea struck his mind.

"Give me some time, I want to personally train a special force, with a thorough plan to track down that force until the troop is finally ready to embark on this final round. Since we have an idea of what we are up against from all the reports so far, I would use commoners this time around, and enroll them in the Noble academy for one of the toughest training...this training would be hard, a more threatening test for stamina, agility, endurance, bravery, fearlessness, and perseverance. We simply cannot give up now until the final hour." Gregor insistently convinced the King once more, with a newfound hope on this endless quest.

The TUTUS was the only thing that could give him the kind of power he was currently seeking to possess. His lust for that power since he heard about it, had him desperately holding onto the hope to find and secure the TUTUS for himself. Gregor's cunningly earnest hunger for power to rule the world was made easier when the king proposed an alliance to seek it together. He simply couldn't give up now.

"Don't you think we should look for other measures, in incase the TUTUS was truly a myth?" The King reasoned with his advisor.

"It's no doubt it exists, All the books of history I have read and investigated so far from long ago, all spoke of that unique power of the TUTUS. It simply can't be made up! and the chain of narration seemed authentic." Gregor replied with conviction.

A few years back, Gregor had heard the news of the Tutus in passing and made nothing of it. Like everyone, he believed with conviction about it being a myth. Until he noticed it first hand, its real power from ancient tales of a kingdom, when he coincidentally came across them in his routes toward seeking a remedy for his childlessness. The old lady was a prophesied Seer who attended to him. She told him every little secret about the TUTUS. But its existence was long lost with time.

The books of history, as the lady reported into Gregor's eager ears, were about the kingdom of the Angelic Race, formally known as the Dragonbreath Kingdom. The tales about the wisest King to have ever lived...King Zach Sanander, with his kind heart and great rule, had to sacrifice his son when the thorn of TUTUS proved fatal to his existence, with no remedy to cure him, when all the blossomed remedies of the TUTUS's flowers withered after an extreme catastrophe overcame it. With regard to an imbalance in the FROZEN Realm.

The balance of the forest and the realm was shaken to chaos when Arabella and the kids exited the realm and failed to seal it with its spell. Therefore, it brought an imbalance where the heavy price was to lose the remedy of the Tutus until a thousand later.

"That's it...it blossomed every thousand years and it could sprout from any chosen land it chooses, where evil and good were at a balanced ratio. One shouldn't exceed the other." The old lady explained to a curious Gregor when he heard about its power.

So, does that mean evil and good are imbalanced right now? was that why the TUTUS didn't sprout since the time of the Angelic race, and past ten years they have been searching for it? what should he do to create this imbalance?

During their fruitless quest of sending soldiers to their deaths, Gregor embarked on the mission to return to the old lady for some kind of solution. What needed to be done to help the TUTUS sprout its amazing existence in this generation?

"You will need the blood of an ancient Royal who was sent forth during that time, into this time. His pure blood with the help of the sealing spell to the Frozen Realm will be a solution for the TUTUS to sprout its majestic presence into this Kingdom. But, at very high risk, and a great price to pay!" the old lady replied to Gregor upon his question to know more.

"It's a risk I am prepared to take. Does such a person exist?" Gregor asked.

"Yes! I felt his presence the instant he was born into this world...He is an ancient Royal, the brave of the bravest, and the future of this kingdom rest upon his shoulders. His destiny was to merge the past and the present into one!" Said the lady, as if speaking of someone more majestic and great than the king himself.

"Where and how can I find him?" Gregor was fully prepared to get to the roots of all this.

"Don't! when the time is right...he will come forth. But beware, in your quest for the TUTUS power, he will be your greatest rival which would lead to your doom!" the lady warned repeatedly to Gregor.

Instead, Gregor became heedless of the old lady's warnings, he left with the thoughts to seek that Royal blood, and accomplish his aim for power, then get rid of him before he becomes a threat to his rule.

Hence, the real reason to enroll commoners into a Noble Royal Academy was solely for Gregor's selfish purpose to seek that Royal, born in the midst of commoners, and achieve his lifelong dream to rule the world.

However, it seemed King Syron was adamant about giving in to Gregor's offer, but Gregor wasn't willing to lose this chance to convince the King until he agreed to his suggestion and grant him the power to embark on it.

"It was reported in history about a King who had to choose between his son who turned bloodthirsty and his kingdom. So he had to kill his own son with his hands to end his bloodlust, when his kingdom and its people were threatened by his son's bloodlust...So as long as we don't continue this search, you would have no option left but to face what the legendary King Zach faced...the choice between your kingdom or your son. So, what is it going to be?." Gregor narrated part of what the old lady told him about the past kingdom's time of agonized misfortune.

Upon hearing Gregor's reasons and explanation, King Syron developed a strong and new determination to continue the search for the TUTUS, and save both his kingdom and his son. It's a hard choice to make if he ended up like the formal king. He had heard of that ancient tale from the former Seer, when he reported to his father who was the then king, about the prophecy of the bloodthirsty beast. The tale of the wisest and greatest King of kings...King Zach Sanander and his heroic sacrifices for his Kingdom.

Therefore, upon the King's agreement, the Noble academy was opened for all the people of the kingdom to test and train more forces to embark on this endless search for the TUTUS. Since they can't afford to give up now... it's a long way to a decade before the foretold prophesy enforces its ruin upon his son and his kingdom in its entirety.
